On the third day a man arrived from Saul’s camp with his clothes torn and dust on his head. When he came to David, he fell to the ground to pay him honor.

當日，有一個便雅憫人從陣上逃跑，衣服撕裂，頭蒙灰塵，來到示羅。

從前有人報告我說，掃羅死了，他自以為報好消息；我就拿住他，將他殺在洗革拉，這就作了他報消息的賞賜。

亞比該見大衛，便急忙下驢，在大衛面前臉伏於地叩拜，

約書亞便撕裂衣服；他和以色列的長老把灰撒在頭上，在耶和華的約櫃前俯伏在地，直到晚上。

「你當去招聚書珊城所有的猶大人，為我禁食三晝三夜，不吃不喝；我和我的宮女也要這樣禁食。然後我違例進去見王，我若死就死吧！」

我們在田裏捆禾稼，我的捆起來站着，你們的捆來圍着我的捆下拜。」他的哥哥們回答說：「難道你真要作我們的王嗎？難道你真要管轄我們嗎？」他們就因為他的夢和他的話越發恨他。後來他又做了一夢，也告訴他的哥哥們說：「看哪，我又做了一夢，夢見太陽、月亮，與十一個星向我下拜。」約瑟將這夢告訴他父親和他哥哥們，他父親就責備他說：「你做的這是甚麼夢！難道我和你母親、你弟兄果然要來俯伏在地，向你下拜嗎？」

大衛到了山頂、敬拜神的地方，見亞基人戶篩，衣服撕裂，頭蒙灰塵來迎接他。

那撒但一會的，自稱是猶太人，其實不是猶太人，乃是說謊話的，我要使他們來，在你腳前下拜，也使他們知道我是已經愛你了。

提哥亞婦人到王面前，伏地叩拜，說：「王啊，求你拯救！」

呂便回到坑邊，見約瑟不在坑裏，就撕裂衣服，

到了第三日，亞伯拉罕舉目遠遠地看見那地方。

你們要撕裂心腸，不撕裂衣服。歸向耶和華－你們的神；因為他有恩典，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且後悔不降所說的災。

當對神說：你的作為何等可畏！因你的大能，仇敵要投降你。

第三日，以斯帖穿上朝服，進王宮的內院，對殿站立。王在殿裏坐在寶座上，對着殿門。

約拿三日三夜在大魚肚腹中，人子也要這樣三日三夜在地裏頭。

童子一去，大衛就從磐石的南邊出來，俯伏在地，拜了三拜；二人親嘴，彼此哭泣，大衛哭得更慟。

雅各便撕裂衣服，腰間圍上麻布，為他兒子悲哀了多日。

過兩天他必使我們甦醒，第三天他必使我們興起，我們就在他面前得以存活。

那人對以利說：「我是從陣上來的，今日我從陣上逃回。」以利說：「我兒，事情怎樣？」

從此，耶穌才指示門徒，他必須上耶路撒冷去，受長老、祭司長、文士許多的苦，並且被殺，第三日復活。

他們回答說：「你僕人－我們的父親平安；他還在。」於是他們低頭下拜。
