因為你們自己明明知道，主的日子來到會像賊在夜間突然來到一樣。

看哪，我來像賊一樣。那警醒、穿着衣服的人有福了；他不至於赤身而行，給人看見他的羞恥。

但現在的天地還是憑着上帝的話存留，直留到不敬虔之人受審判遭沉淪的日子，用火焚燒。

你們要知道，一家的主人若知道賊甚麼時候來，就不容賊挖穿房屋。

你們要向天舉目，觀看下面的地；天必像煙雲消散，地必如衣服漸漸破舊；其上的居民也要如此死亡。惟有我的救恩永遠長存，我的公義也不廢掉。

我又看見一個白色的大寶座和那坐在上面的；天和地都從他面前逃避，再也找不到它們的位置了。

所以，你們要警醒，因為不知道你們的主哪一天來到。你們要知道，一家的主人若知道晚上甚麼時候有賊來，就必警醒，不讓賊挖穿房屋。

所以，要記得你所領受和聽見的；要遵守，並要悔改。你若不警醒，我必如賊一樣來到；我幾時來到你那裏，你絕不會知道。

大山因他震動，小山也都融化；大地在他面前突起，世界和住在其間的也都如此。

天地都會消滅，你卻長存；天地都會像外衣漸漸舊了。你要將天地如內衣更換，天地就都改變了。

等候並催促上帝的日子來到。因為在那日，天要被火燒而消滅，天體都要被烈火熔化。

天上萬象都要朽壞，天被捲起，有如書卷，其上的萬象盡都衰殘；如葡萄樹的葉子凋落，又如無花果樹枯萎一樣。

天地要廢去，我的話卻絕不廢去。」

萬軍的主耶和華觸摸地，地就融化，凡住在地上的都必悲哀；全地必如尼羅河漲起，如同埃及的尼羅河落下。

「看哪，耶和華大而可畏之日未到以前，我要差遣以利亞先知到你們那裏去。

要把這樣的人交給撒但，使他的肉體敗壞，好讓他的靈魂在主的日子可以得救。

地必全然破壞，盡都崩裂，劇烈震動。

「看哪，日子將到，耕種的必接續收割的，踹葡萄的必接續撒種的；大山要滴下甜酒，小山也被漫過。」這是耶和華說的。

哀哉，這日子！因為耶和華的日子臨近，好像毀滅從全能者來到。

太陽要變為黑暗，月亮要變為血，這都在耶和華大而可畏的日子未到以前。

在斷定谷有許多許多的人，因為耶和華的日子臨近斷定谷了。

因萬軍之耶和華的一個日子要臨到所有驕傲狂妄的，臨到一切自高的，使他們降為卑；

你們要在錫安吹角，在我的聖山發出警報。這地所有的居民要發顫，因為耶和華的日子快到，已經臨近了。

天地都會消滅，你卻長存；天地都會像衣服漸漸舊了；你要將天地捲起來，像捲一件外衣，天地像衣服都會改變。你卻永不改變；你的年數沒有窮盡。」

你們已經有幾分認識我們，在我們主耶穌的日子，你們會以我們為榮，正像我們也以你們為榮。

至於那些不守本位、離開自己住處的天使，主用鎖鏈把他們永遠拘留在黑暗裏，等候大日子的審判。

諸山見耶和華的面，就是全地之主的面，就如蠟熔化。

萬邦喧嚷，國度動搖；上帝出聲，地就熔化。

眾山在他底下熔化，諸谷崩裂，如蠟熔在火中，如水沖下山坡。

因為受造之物屈服在虛空之下，不是自己願意，而是因那使它屈服的叫他如此。但受造之物仍然指望從敗壞的轄制下得釋放，得享上帝兒女榮耀的自由。
