親愛之同道乎、予致書於爾、此已為第二通矣。予之所以一再修書、諄諄不倦者、惟欲激發爾等誠實無妄之心、

因這緣故、我才提醒你要使上帝屬靈的恩賜、藉我的按手燒𤏲在你心裏的、再熾旺起來。

所以你們雖已知道這些事，並在已有的真理上得到堅固，我還要時常提醒你們。我以為儘我還在這帳幕的時候，以提醒來激發你們、是正當的。因為知道我這帳幕脫卸的時候快到了，正如我們主耶穌基督所指示我的。我也要竭力盡心，使你們在我去世以後還時常追念這些事。

不要輕易給人「按手」，也不要在別人的罪上有份兒；要保守你自己清潔。

耶穌基督的使徒彼得寫信給蒙揀選的散僑，寄居在本都、加拉太、加帕多家、亞西亞、庇推尼的人，照父上帝所豫知、靠靈之聖化、而聽從耶穌基督、受他血灑的。願你們多多蒙恩平安。

你們既因聽從真理而使心裏清潔，以致有親如弟兄之相愛而不假裝，就該從心裏彼此熱切地相愛。

上帝實在是善待以色列，善待心裏清潔的人。

就是手潔心清，意念不仰仗虛謊，起誓不懷詭詐的：

心裏潔淨的人有福啊！因為他們必看得見上帝。

我從前說過，如今又豫先聲明：對那些從前犯了罪的、和其餘各人，我第二次和你們同在時怎麼樣，如今不同在時也怎麼樣：我若再來，必不寬惜。
