因这理由，我提醒你：要把神的恩赐再如火挑旺起来；这恩赐是藉着我的按手，在你里面的。

所以，虽然你们已经知道这些事，又在你们已有的真理上得了坚固，我还是要不断地提醒你们。我认为，只要我还在这帐篷里，就理当用提醒的话来激发你们，因为我知道我脱离这帐篷的时候快到了，就像我们的主耶稣基督也曾向我指明的。我也要努力，使你们在我离世以后，时常想起这些事。

不要轻易给人按手，也不要在别人的罪孽上有份，要保守自己纯洁。

耶稣基督的使徒彼得，致那些蒙拣选，分散在本都、加拉太、卡帕多细亚、亚细亚、比提尼亚寄居的人，就是按照父神的预知，藉着圣灵分别为圣，以致顺从耶稣基督，又蒙他宝血所洒的人：愿恩典与平安多多地加给你们！

你们既然藉着顺从真理，使自己的灵魂纯洁，以致有了不虚假的弟兄之爱，就应当以洁净的心，彼此热切地相爱。

神必然善待以色列，善待那些心里纯洁的人。

就是双手清白、心里纯洁的人，他的心不倾向虚妄，他也不起假誓。

心里洁净的人是蒙福的，因为他们将看见神。

我先前说过了，现在虽然我不在你们那里，还要像第二次在你们那里的时候一样，预先警告那些从前犯了罪的人和所有其余的人：我如果再来，不会顾惜！
