因此我提醒你，要把上帝在我把手按在你身上时赐给你的恩赐充分发挥出来。

虽然你们已经知道这些事，并且在所领受的真道上也很坚固，但我还是要常常提醒你们。我觉得应当趁着我还在世的时候提醒你们，激励你们，因我知道自己离世的日子已经不远了，正如我们的主耶稣基督指示我的。我要尽力使你们在我离世以后仍然常常记得这些事。

为人行按手礼，不要操之过急。不要沾染别人的罪，要洁身自好。

我是耶稣基督的使徒彼得，写信给蒙上帝拣选，寄居在本都、加拉太、加帕多迦、亚细亚、庇推尼各地的人。你们蒙拣选是按照父上帝预先定好的旨意，借着圣灵得以圣洁，好顺服耶稣基督，并靠祂的血得到洁净。愿上帝赐给你们丰丰富富的恩典和平安！

你们既因顺服真理，洁净了自己的心，能够真诚地爱弟兄姊妹，就当以清洁的心彼此切实相爱。

上帝实在善待以色列人，恩待那些内心纯洁的人。

只有那些手洁心清，不拜假神，不起假誓的人。

心灵纯洁的人有福了，因为他们必看见上帝。

我第二次去探望你们的时候已经警告过了，如今我虽然不在你们那里，但仍要再次警告那些犯罪的人以及其余的人：我再来的时候，必不宽容。
