蓋此義者居其中、且見且聞、以其不法之行、日傷公義之心、

蓋義者與彼同處、見其敗亂矩矱、無日不憂、

蓋此義人居於彼中、目見耳聞其非法之事、傷其義心、

蓋羅德以正直之身、處於群小之中、所見所聞、莫非橫行無道、中心惄焉如擣、無有寧日也。

That good man lived among them day after day. He saw and heard the evil things they were doing. They were breaking God’s laws. And the godly spirit of Lot was deeply troubled.

I see the treacherous, and am disgusted, Because they do not keep Your word.

A righteous man who falters before the wicked Is like a murky spring and a polluted well.

So now we call the proud blessed, For those who do wickedness are raised up; They even tempt God and go free.’”Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name.“ They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,“ On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.”

My zeal has consumed me, Because my enemies have forgotten Your words.

When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory; But when the wicked arise, men hide themselves.

Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple.

knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
