同樣，所多瑪、蛾摩拉和周圍城鎮的人也跟着他們一樣犯淫亂，隨從逆性的情慾，以致遭受永不熄滅之火的懲罰，作為眾人的鑒戒。

同樣，就像在羅得的日子，人又吃又喝，又買又賣，又耕種又建造，到羅得離開所多瑪的那日，有火與硫磺從天上降下來，把他們全都滅了。人子顯現的日子也要這樣。

地開了裂口，吞了他們和可拉，可拉一夥的人也一同死亡。當時火吞滅了二百五十個人；他們就成為鑒戒。

遍地都被硫磺和鹽所侵蝕，不能耕種，沒有出產，連草都長不出來，好像耶和華在怒氣和憤怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣，

當時，耶和華把硫磺與火，從天上耶和華那裏降與所多瑪和蛾摩拉，把那些城和全平原，城裏所有的居民和土地上生長的，都毀滅了。

這些事發生在他們身上，要作為鑒戒，而且寫下來正是要警戒我們這末世的人。

巴比倫要像上帝所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉和鄰近的城鎮一樣，必無人住在那裏，也無人在其中寄居。這是耶和華說的。

面向所多瑪和蛾摩拉，以及平原全地觀望。他觀看，看哪，那地有濃煙上騰，好像燒窰的濃煙。

「我傾覆你們，如同上帝從前傾覆所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣；你們好像從火中搶救出來的一根柴，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的上帝說：因此，我指着我的永生起誓：摩押必如所多瑪，亞捫人必像蛾摩拉，都變為刺草、鹽坑、永遠荒廢之地。我百姓中剩餘的必擄掠他們，我國中的倖存者必得他們的地。

巴比倫為列國的榮耀，為迦勒底人所誇耀的華美，必像上帝所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣；

以法蓮哪，我怎能捨棄你？以色列啊，我怎能棄絕你？我怎能使你如押瑪？怎能使你如洗扁？我回心轉意，我的憐憫燃了起來。

看哪，你的妹妹所多瑪的罪孽是這樣：她和她的女兒們都驕傲，糧源充足，大享安逸，卻不扶持困苦和貧窮人的手。她們狂傲，在我面前做可憎的事，我看見了就把她們除掉。撒瑪利亞所犯的罪不及你的一半，你所做可憎的事比她更多；比起你所做這一切可憎的事，你的姊妹倒顯為義。你既為你的姊妹辯護，就要擔當自己的羞辱。因你所犯的罪比她們更可憎，她們比你倒顯為義；你既使你的姊妹顯為義，就要抱愧，擔當自己的羞辱。」「我必使她們被擄的歸回，使所多瑪和她的女兒們、撒瑪利亞和她的女兒們，並與你一起被擄的都歸回；好使你擔當自己的羞辱，為所做的一切抱愧，讓她們得到安慰。你的妹妹所多瑪和她的女兒們必回復原狀；撒瑪利亞和她的女兒們必回復原狀；你和你的女兒們也必回復原狀。在你驕傲的日子，你的妹妹所多瑪豈不是你口中的笑柄嗎？

要審判眾人，證實一切不敬虔的人所妄行一切不敬虔的事，又證實不敬虔的罪人所說頂撞他的剛愎的話。」
