若輩捨棄正道、流入歧途、與包掃兒之子巴拉盎實屬一路之人。彼巴拉盎者、貪戀不義之財、

They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness.

Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. (niv)

sent messengers to summon Balaam son of Beor, who was at Pethor, near the Euphrates River, in his native land. “ You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? (niv)

They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. (niv)

My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered. Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.” (niv)

For they did not come to meet you with bread and water on your way when you came out of Egypt, and they hired Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram Naharaim to pronounce a curse on you.However, the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you. Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked, but those who heed it resist them. (niv)

“ They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord’s people. (niv)

When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat it to get it back on the road. (niv)

Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? I will answer him and care for him. I am like a flourishing juniper; your fruitfulness comes from me.” (niv)

As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. (niv)

“ I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied.“ But you and your father’s family have. You have abandoned the Lord’s commands and have followed the Baals. (niv)

Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam,“ What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” (niv)

So I will not look on them with pity or spare them, but I will bring down on their own heads what they have done.” (niv)

He replied,“ I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” (niv)
