He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority. These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling.

尤其对那些随从肉体而在污秽的欲望中生活、轻视主权者的人，更是这样。这些人胆大、任性，毫不战兢地亵渎那些有荣耀的。

那些隨肉身、縱污穢的情慾、輕慢主治之人的，更是如此。他們膽大任性，毀謗在尊位的，也不知懼怕。

尤其是那些隨從肉體，生活在污穢的私慾中，和輕蔑當權的，更是這樣。他們膽大任性，毫無畏懼地毀謗在尊位的。

尤其是拘留而刑罰那些隨從肉體、行於讓人染污的私慾中、輕看「主尊」的人。嘿，大膽的，任性的，謗讟「眾榮耀」的靈也不戰慄！

尤其對那些隨從肉體而在汙穢的欲望中生活、輕視主權者的人，更是這樣。這些人膽大、任性，毫不戰兢地褻瀆那些有榮耀的。

彼狥形軀、縱污慾、輕視執政為尤甚、乃果敢自恃、謗讟尊榮、而不戰慄、

至於縱情欲、逞邪行、藐視執政、驕泰偏執、讟尊者而不畏、必重遭譴責、

其從肉體之慾、行邪污、藐視執政者、必受刑更重、此輩膽大自肆、任意妄為、謗讟位尊者而不懼、

而縱慾逞邪、犯上作亂者、尤不能倖免。若輩目無法紀、怙惡不悛、誹謗有司、褻瀆神明。

This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to heap abuse on celestial beings;

Most of all, this is true of people who follow desires that come from sin’s power. These people hate to be under authority. They are bold and proud. So they aren’t even afraid to speak evil things against heavenly beings.

and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones,

especially those who follow the polluting desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold, arrogant people! They are not afraid to slander the glorious ones;

and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt passion, and despise authority. Reckless, self centered, they speak abusively of angelic majesties without trembling,

and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,

but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Daring, self- willed, they tremble not to rail at dignities:

especially those who follow the polluting desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold, arrogant people! They do not tremble when they blaspheme the glorious ones;

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous[ are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

especially those who indulge their fleshly desires and who despise authority. Brazen and insolent, they are not afraid to insult the glorious ones,

but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement and despise authority. Daring, self- willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;

But these people scoff at things they do not understand. Like unthinking animals, they do whatever their instincts tell them, and so they bring about their own destruction.

These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

“ You must not dishonor God or curse any of your rulers.

They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires.

Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.

So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

But his people hated him and sent a delegation after him to say,‘ We do not want him to be our king.’

I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment.And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment.In the same way, these people— who claim authority from their dreams— live immoral lives, defy authority, and scoff at supernatural beings.

A church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money.

You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

“ I’m sorry, brothers. I didn’t realize he was the high priest,” Paul replied,“ for the Scriptures say,‘ You must not speak evil of any of your rulers.’”

Never make light of the king, even in your thoughts. And don’t make fun of the powerful, even in your own bedroom. For a little bird might deliver your message and tell them what you said.

Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you.The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.

For the Lord’s sake, submit to all human authority— whether the king as head of state,or the officials he has appointed. For the king has sent them to punish those who do wrong and to honor those who do right.

“ But those who brazenly violate the Lord’s will, whether native born Israelites or foreigners, have blasphemed the Lord, and they must be cut off from the community.

But there were some scoundrels who complained,“ How can this man save us?” And they scorned him and refused to bring him gifts. But Saul ignored them.[ Nahash, king of the Ammonites, had been grievously oppressing the people of Gad and Reuben who lived east of the Jordan River. He gouged out the right eye of each of the Israelites living there, and he didn’t allow anyone to come and rescue them. In fact, of all the Israelites east of the Jordan, there wasn’t a single one whose right eye Nahash had not gouged out. But there were 7,000 men who had escaped from the Ammonites, and they had settled in Jabesh gilead.]

He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they replied,“ We refuse to come before you!Isn’t it enough that you brought us out of Egypt, a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us here in this wilderness, and that you now treat us like your subjects?What’s more, you haven’t brought us into another land flowing with milk and honey. You haven’t given us a new homeland with fields and vineyards. Are you trying to fool these men? We will not come.”Then Moses became very angry and said to the Lord,“ Do not accept their grain offerings! I have not taken so much as a donkey from them, and I have never hurt a single one of them.”

They say,“ We will lie to our hearts’ content. Our lips are our own— who can stop us?”

God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives.

We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do.

when they give great authority to foolish people and low positions to people of proven worth.I have even seen servants riding horseback like princes— and princes walking like servants!

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the Lord your God must die. In this way you will purge the evil from Israel.Then everyone else will hear about it and be afraid to act so arrogantly.

There happened to be a troublemaker there named Sheba son of Bicri, a man from the tribe of Benjamin. Sheba blew a ram’s horn and began to chant:“ Down with the dynasty of David! We have no interest in the son of Jesse. Come on, you men of Israel, back to your homes!”

Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans?The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one.“ Let us break their chains,” they cry,“ and free ourselves from slavery to God.”But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.Then in anger he rebukes them, terrifying them with his fierce fury.

When all Israel realized that the king had refused to listen to them, they responded,“ Down with the dynasty of David! We have no interest in the son of Jesse. Back to your homes, O Israel! Look out for your own house, O David!” So the people of Israel returned home.

The parents must say to the elders,‘ This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious and refuses to obey. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’Then all the men of his town must stone him to death. In this way, you will purge this evil from among you, and all Israel will hear about it and be afraid.

“ O my people, listen to the words of the Lord! Have I been like a desert to Israel? Have I been to them a land of darkness? Why then do my people say,‘ At last we are free from God! We don’t need him anymore!’

They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.

May I never join in their meetings; may I never be a party to their plans. For in their anger they murdered men, and they crippled oxen just for sport.
