那坐在黑暗里的百姓看见了大光；坐在死荫之地的人有光照耀他们。”

因为诫命是灯，教诲是光，管教的责备是生命的道，

耶稣又对众人说：“我就是世界的光。跟从我的，必不在黑暗里走，却要得着生命的光。”

兴起，发光！因为你的光已来到！耶和华的荣光发出照耀着你。看哪，黑暗笼罩大地，幽暗遮盖万民，耶和华却要升起照耀你，他的荣光要显在你身上。

就是禁戒偶像所玷污的东西、血和勒死的牲畜，禁戒淫乱。这几件你们若能自己禁戒就好了。祝你们安康！”

这地方的犹太人比帖撒罗尼迦的人开明，热心领受这道，天天查考圣经，要知道这道是否真实。

信上帝儿子的，就有这见证在他心里；不信上帝的，就是把上帝当作说谎的，因为不信上帝为他儿子作的见证。

所以，不要与他们同伙。从前你们是暗昧的，但如今在主里面是光明的，行事为人要像光明的子女—

耶和华说：“你们要呈上你们的案件。”雅各的君王说：“你们要提出你们的理由。”让它们近前来，告诉我们将来要发生什么事！你们要说明先前发生的事，好让我们思索；或者告诉我们将来的事，使我们得知事情的结局。你们要指明未来的事，使我们知道你们是神明！你们或降福，或降祸，好使我们惊奇，一同观看。

耶和华的律法全备，使人苏醒；耶和华的法度确定，使愚蒙人有智慧。耶和华的训词正直，使人心快活；耶和华的命令清洁，使人眼目明亮。耶和华的典章真实，全然公义，敬畏耶和华是纯洁的，存到永远，

经上记着：“要爱邻如己”，你们若切实守这至尊的律法，你们就做得很好。
