Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark.

Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. John was like a burning and shining lamp, and you were excited for a while about his message.

And the people of Berea were more open minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.

All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.

Don’t participate in the things these people do.For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!

“ Present the case for your idols,” says the Lord.“ Let them show what they can do,” says the King of Israel.“ Let them try to tell us what happened long ago so that we may consider the evidence. Or let them tell us what the future holds, so we can know what’s going to happen.Yes, tell us what will occur in the days ahead. Then we will know you are gods. In fact, do anything— good or bad! Do something that will amaze and frighten us.

The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair.

Yes indeed, it is good when you obey the royal law as found in the Scriptures:“ Love your neighbor as yourself.”
