此等不信之人被這世界的神弄瞎了心眼，不叫基督榮耀福音的光照着他們。基督本是神的像。我們原不是傳自己，乃是傳基督耶穌為主，並且自己因耶穌作你們的僕人。那吩咐光從黑暗裏照出來的神，已經照在我們心裏，叫我們得知神榮耀的光顯在耶穌基督的面上。

因我們神憐憫的心腸，叫清晨的日光從高天臨到我們，要照亮坐在黑暗中死蔭裏的人，把我們的腳引到平安的路上。

約翰是點着的明燈，你們情願暫時喜歡他的光。

那坐在黑暗裏的百姓看見了大光；坐在死蔭之地的人有光發現照着他們。

因為誡命是燈，法則是光，訓誨的責備是生命的道，

耶穌又對眾人說：「我是世界的光。跟從我的，就不在黑暗裏走，必要得着生命的光。」

興起，發光！因為你的光已經來到！耶和華的榮耀發現照耀你。看哪，黑暗遮蓋大地，幽暗遮蓋萬民，耶和華卻要顯現照耀你；他的榮耀要現在你身上。

就是禁戒祭偶像的物和血，並勒死的牲畜和姦淫。這幾件你們若能自己禁戒不犯就好了。願你們平安！」

這地方的人賢於帖撒羅尼迦的人，甘心領受這道，天天考查聖經，要曉得這道是與不是。

信神兒子的，就有這見證在他心裏；不信神的，就是將神當作說謊的，因不信神為他兒子作的見證。

所以，你們不要與他們同夥。從前你們是暗昧的，但如今在主裏面是光明的，行事為人就當像光明的子女。

耶和華對假神說：你們要呈上你們的案件；雅各的君說：你們要聲明你們確實的理由。可以聲明，指示我們將來必遇的事，說明先前的是甚麼事，好叫我們思索，得知事的結局，或者把將來的事指示我們。要說明後來的事，好叫我們知道你們是神。你們或降福，或降禍，使我們驚奇，一同觀看。

耶和華的律法全備，能甦醒人心；耶和華的法度確定，能使愚人有智慧。耶和華的訓詞正直，能快活人的心；耶和華的命令清潔，能明亮人的眼目。耶和華的道理潔淨，存到永遠；耶和華的典章真實，全然公義－

經上記着說：「要愛人如己。」你們若全守這至尊的律法才是好的。

論到這救恩，那預先說你們要得恩典的眾先知早已詳細地尋求考察，

誰從起初指明這事，使我們知道呢？誰從先前說明，使我們說他不錯呢？誰也沒有指明；誰也沒有說明；誰也沒有聽見你們的話。

亞伯拉罕說：『他們有摩西和先知的話可以聽從。』他說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，不是的，若有一個從死裏復活的，到他們那裏去的，他們必要悔改。』亞伯拉罕說：『若不聽從摩西和先知的話，就是有一個從死裏復活的，他們也是不聽勸。』」
