Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.
Then Jacob woke up and thought,“ Surely the LORD is in this place, but I did not realize it!”He was afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!”
The Lord says,‘ I have returned to Zion and will live within Jerusalem. Now Jerusalem will be called“ truthful city,”“ mountain of the LORD who rules over all,”“ holy mountain.”’
They will no longer injure or destroy on my entire royal mountain. For there will be universal submission to the LORD’s sovereignty, just as the waters completely cover the sea.
I will bring them to my holy mountain; I will make them happy in the temple where people pray to me. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my temple will be known as a temple where all nations may pray.”
