So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.

我的弟兄們，我本人也深信你們自己充滿良善，有各種豐富的知識，也能彼此勸戒。但我更大膽寫信給你們，是要在一些事上提醒你們，我因上帝所賜我的恩，

末了，我的弟兄們，你們要靠主喜樂。我把這些話再寫給你們，對我並不困難，對你們卻是妥當的。

這一切的事，你們雖然知道，我卻仍要提醒你們：從前主只一次就救了他的百姓出埃及地，後來卻把那些不信的滅絕了。

親愛的，至於你們，要記得我們主耶穌基督的使徒從前所說的話。

我認為趁我還在這帳棚的時候，應該激發你們的記憶，

我簡單地寫了這信，託我所看為忠心的弟兄西拉交給你們，勸勉你們，又證明這恩是上帝真實的恩典；你們務要在這恩上站立得住。

親愛的，我現在寫給你們的是第二封信。在這兩封信裏，我都提醒你們，激發你們真誠的心，

我也要盡心竭力，使你們在我去世以後時常記念這些事。

親愛的，我一直很迫切地想要寫信給你們，論到我們同享的救恩，但我覺得有必要現在就寫信勸你們，要為從前一次交付給聖徒的真道竭力奮鬥。

所以，親愛的，既然你們預先知道這事，就當防備，免得被惡人的錯謬誘惑，從自己穩定的立場上墜落。

那賜一切恩典的上帝曾在基督裏召了你們，得享他永遠的榮耀，在你們暫受苦難之後，必要親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們，建立你們。

你們要追念往日；你們蒙了光照以後，忍受了許多痛苦的掙扎：

你們不要被種種怪異的教訓勾引了去，因為人的心靠恩典得堅固才是好的，並不是靠飲食。那在飲食上用心的，從來沒有得到益處。

為這緣故，我提醒你要把上帝藉着我按手所給你的恩賜再如火挑旺起來。

你若把這些事提醒弟兄們，就是基督耶穌的好執事，在信仰的話語和你向來所服從的正確教義上得到了栽培。

照着你們所領受的教導，在他裏面生根建造，信心堅固，充滿着感謝的心。

於是眾教會信心越發堅固，人數天天增加。
