Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to be sure of your calling and election. For by doing this you will never stumble into sin.

兄弟當黽勉、以明上帝選爾召爾、由是而行、無不得救、

故兄弟更當殷勤、使爾蒙召蒙選之恩、堅定不移、爾若行此、則永不躓蹶、

故望兄弟益加奮勉、孳孳為善、務使爾之聖召恩選、根深秪固、確乎不拔。爾能遵此而行、則永無失足之虞；

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

My brothers and sisters, try very hard to show that God has appointed you to be saved. Try hard to show that he has chosen you. If you do everything I have just said, you will never trip and fall.

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard that you do not get led astray by the error of these unprincipled men and fall from your firm grasp on the truth.

“ Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and puts them into practice– I will show you what he is like:He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep, and laid the foundation on bedrock. When a flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built.But the person who hears and does not put my words into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against that house, it collapsed immediately, and was utterly destroyed!”

But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end,

He alone is my protector and deliverer. He is my refuge; I will not be upended.

And by this we will know that we are of the truth and will convince our conscience in his presence,that if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience and knows all things.Dear friends, if our conscience does not condemn us, we have confidence in the presence of God,

My enemies, do not gloat over me! Though I have fallen, I will get up. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.

He alone is my protector and deliverer. He is my refuge; I will not be upended.

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just.

May he not allow your foot to slip! May your protector not sleep!

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge;

However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from evil.”

“ Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, but it did not collapse because it had been founded on rock.

But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.He called you to this salvation through our gospel, so that you may possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

because we recall in the presence of our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.We know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you,

But I do not consider my life worth anything to myself, so that I may finish my task and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.“ And now I know that none of you among whom I went around proclaiming the kingdom will see me again.

Blessed are those who wash their robes so they can have access to the tree of life and can enter into the city by the gates.

The people who do this will be blessed, the people who commit themselves to obedience, who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, who refrain from doing anything that is wrong.

who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Because you have kept my admonition to endure steadfastly, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come on the whole world to test those who live on the earth.I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have so that no one can take away your crown.

Even if he trips, he will not fall headlong, for the LORD holds his hand.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father by being set apart by the Spirit for obedience and for sprinkling with Jesus Christ’s blood. May grace and peace be yours in full measure!

And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast, which reaches inside behind the curtain,

He does not charge interest when he lends his money. He does not take bribes to testify against the innocent. The one who lives like this will never be upended.
