故望兄弟益加奮勉、孳孳為善、務使爾之聖召恩選、根深秪固、確乎不拔。爾能遵此而行、則永無失足之虞；

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,

I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, hears my words, and acts on them:He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the river crashed against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it was well built.But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river crashed against it, and immediately it collapsed. And the destruction of that house was great.”

Now we desire each of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the full assurance of your hope until the end,

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken.

We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you,

But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.“ And now I know that none of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will ever see me again.

“ Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates.

Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

You are being guarded by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
