And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”“ Lord,” he told Him,“ I’m ready to go with You both to prison and to death!”“ I tell you, Peter,” He said,“ the rooster will not crow today until you deny three times that you know Me!”

since the One at work in Peter for an apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in me for the Gentiles.

For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to Him,“ You know that I love You.”“ Feed My lambs,” He told him.A second time He asked him,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to Him,“ You know that I love You.”“ Shepherd My sheep,” He told him.He asked him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” He said,“ Lord, You know everything! Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

so that the genuineness of your faith— more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire— may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Simeon has reported how God first intervened to take from the Gentiles a people for His name.
