You are to destroy the house of Ahab your master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the Lord’s servants shed by Jezebel.

You must destroy the royal house of your master Ahab. I will pay them back for spilling the blood of my servants the prophets. I will also pay them back for the blood of all the Lord’ s servants that Jezebel spilled.

And you shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, so that I may avenge on Jezebel the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord.

You are to destroy the family of Ahab, your master. In this way, I will avenge the murder of my prophets and all the Lord’s servants who were killed by Jezebel.

耶和華啊，你是伸冤的神；伸冤的神啊，求你發出光來！審判世界的主啊，求你挺身而立，使驕傲人受應得的報應！耶和華啊，惡人誇勝要到幾時呢？要到幾時呢？他們絮絮叨叨說傲慢的話；一切作孽的人都自己誇張。耶和華啊，他們強壓你的百姓，苦害你的產業。他們殺死寡婦和寄居的，又殺害孤兒。他們說：耶和華必不看見；雅各的神必不思念。 (cunpt)

親愛的弟兄，不要自己伸冤，寧可讓步，聽憑主怒；因為經上記着：「主說：『伸冤在我，我必報應。』」 (cunpt)

因為他是神的用人，是與你有益的。你若作惡，卻當懼怕，因為他不是空空地佩劍；他是神的用人，是伸冤的，刑罰那作惡的。 (cunpt)

神的選民晝夜呼籲他，他縱然為他們忍了多時，豈不終久給他們伸冤嗎？我告訴你們，要快快地給他們伸冤了。然而，人子來的時候，遇得見世上有信德嗎？」 (cunpt)

他的判斷是真實公義的；因他判斷了那用淫行敗壞世界的大淫婦，並且向淫婦討流僕人血的罪，給他們伸冤。 (cunpt)
