你们不要藉外表来妆饰自己，如编头发，戴金饰，穿美丽的衣裳等，

亚哈把以利亚一切所做的和他用刀杀众先知的事都告诉耶洗别。耶洗别就派使者到以利亚那里，说：“明日约这时候，我若不使你的性命像那些人的性命一样，愿神明重重惩罚我。”

只可叹息，不可出声，不可办理丧事；裹上头巾，脚上穿鞋，不可捂着胡须，也不可吃一般人的食物。”
