But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw[ this], he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot.[ And they did so] at the going up to Gur, which[ is] by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

When Ahaziah king of Judah saw what had happened, he fled up the road to Beth Haggan. Jehu chased him, shouting,“ Kill him too!” They wounded him in his chariot on the way up to Gur near Ibleam, but he escaped to Megiddo and died there.

Ahaziah, the king of Judah, saw what had happened. So he tried to get away. He went up the road toward Beth Haggan. Jehu chased him. He shouted,“ Kill him too!” Jehu’s men wounded Ahaziah in his chariot. It happened on the way up to Gur near Ibleam. But Ahaziah escaped to Megiddo. And that’s where he died.

Neither did Manasseh drive out[ the inhabitants of] Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns,[ even] three countries.

Baana the son of Ahilud;[ to him pertained] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which[ is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah,[ even] unto[ the place that is] beyond Jokneam:

And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

The kings came[ and] fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.

In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father’s stead.

He that walketh with wise[ men] shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it[ is] near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it;[ or], if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.

And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them.And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him,( for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he[ is] the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean[ thing]; and I will receive you,
