好犯罪的人雖百般地作壞事，而延年益壽，但我準知道：敬畏上帝的人終久必得享樂，因為他們在他面前存着敬畏的心；但是惡人卻不能得享樂，而延年益壽；他只像日影；因為他在上帝面前不存着敬畏的心。

人正說平安穩妥的時候，就在那時、突來的死滅就臨到他們了——正如產難臨到懷孕的婦人一樣——他們斷不能逃脫。

沒有智慧、沒有明達、沒有謀略能敵得過永恆主。
