忘记上帝的人啊，你们要省察，免得我毁灭你们，那时谁也救不了你们。

上帝的怒火如雨降在他身上，填满他的肚腹。他躲过了铁刃，却被铜箭射穿。利箭穿透他的后背，闪亮的箭头刺破他的胆囊，恐怖笼罩着他。

虽然罪人作恶多端仍得长寿，我却认为敬畏上帝的人必亨通。然而，恶人得不到祝福，他们必像幻影一样不能长久，因为他们不敬畏上帝。

当人们正在说一切平安稳妥的时候，灾祸会像产痛临到孕妇一样突然临到他们，令他们无法逃脱。

任何智慧、悟性和谋略，都不能对抗耶和华。
