“ Hitch up my chariot,” Joram ordered. And when it was hitched up, Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah rode out, each in his own chariot, to meet Jehu. They met him at the plot of ground that had belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite.

“ Get my chariot ready,” King Joram ordered. When it was ready, he rode out. Ahaziah, the king of Judah, rode out with him. Each of them was in his own chariot. They both went to meet Jehu. They met him at the piece of land that had belonged to Naboth from Jezreel.

Joram said,“ Make ready.” And they made ready his chariot. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah set out, each in his chariot, and went to meet Jehu, and met him at the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.

“ Quick! Get my chariot ready!” King Joram commanded. Then King Joram of Israel and King Ahaziah of Judah rode out in their chariots to meet Jehu. They met him at the plot of land that had belonged to Naboth of Jezreel.

“ Get the chariot ready!” Joram shouted, and they got it ready. Then King Joram of Israel and King Ahaziah of Judah set out, each in his own chariot, and met Jehu at the plot of land of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Then Joram said,“ Get ready.” And they made his chariot ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out to meet Jehu and found him on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Then Joram said,“ Make ready.” And his chariot was made ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu, and met him on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.

And Joram said, Make ready. And they made ready his chariot. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

“ Harness!” Joram shouted, and they harnessed his chariot. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah set out, each in his own chariot, and met Jehu at the plot of land of Naboth the Jezreelite.

And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Jehoram ordered,“ Hitch up my chariot.” When his chariot had been hitched up, King Jehoram of Israel and King Ahaziah of Judah went out in their respective chariots to meet Jehu. They met up with him in the plot of land that had once belonged to Naboth of Jezreel.

Joram said,“ Get ready!” They got his chariot ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him on Naboth the Jezreelite’s land.

這事以後，又發生了一件事。耶斯列人拿伯有個葡萄園，在撒瑪利亞的亞哈王宮附近。一天，亞哈對拿伯說：「你的葡萄園靠近我的王宮，你把它讓給我作菜園吧。我可以用更好的葡萄園來跟你交換，如果你願意，我也可以按地價付你錢。」拿伯說：「耶和華不准我把祖先的產業給你。」亞哈不能如願，就悶悶不樂地回到宮中，躺在床上生氣，飯也不吃。他妻子耶洗別過來問他：「王為什麼煩悶，不思飲食呢？」亞哈回答說：「我要耶斯列人拿伯將他的葡萄園賣給我，如果他願意，我也可以用別的葡萄園跟他交換，可是他不肯。」耶洗別說：「你忘了自己是以色列王嗎？起來吃飯吧，高興點，我必讓你得到耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園。」

亞哈謝去見約蘭，遇害身亡，這事出於上帝。原來他到那裡後便與約蘭去攻擊寧示的孫子耶戶。耶戶是耶和華膏立去毀滅亞哈家的人。

亞哈問：「誰來完成這任務呢？」先知答道：「耶和華說，省長屬下的青年軍。」亞哈問：「誰來做統領呢？」先知答道：「你。」

拉吉的居民啊，用駿馬套車逃命吧！是你們首先唆使錫安城犯罪，在你們身上看到了以色列的罪惡。

耶戶對將領畢甲說：「你去把他丟在耶斯列人拿伯的田裡。還記得嗎？你我一起駕車跟隨他父親亞哈的時候，耶和華曾預言亞哈的事說，『我昨天看見拿伯和他兒子們被殺，我必使你在這塊田裡受到報應，這是耶和華說的。』現在你照耶和華的話，把他丟在這塊田裡吧。」

摩西從加低斯派使者去見以東王，說：「你的弟兄以色列人說，你知道我們遭遇的種種困難。

耶洗別接到消息後，就告訴亞哈說：「耶斯列人拿伯已經死了，你去佔他不肯賣給你的葡萄園吧。」亞哈聽說拿伯死了，就起來，下去霸佔拿伯的葡萄園。耶和華對提斯比人以利亞說：「你去撒瑪利亞見以色列王亞哈，他正在拿伯的葡萄園，他到那裡要霸佔那葡萄園。你要對他說，『耶和華說，你殺了人，還要奪他的產業嗎？』然後告訴他，耶和華說，『狗在哪裡舔拿伯的血，也必在哪裡舔你的血。』」
