So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram.( Now Joram and all Israel had been defending Ramoth Gilead against Hazael king of Aram,

Jehu was the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Jehu made plans against Joram. During that time Joram and Israel’s whole army had been guarding Ramoth Gilead. They had been guarding it against Hazael, the king of Aram.

Thus Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram with all Israel had been on guard at Ramoth-gilead against Hazael king of Syria,

So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, led a conspiracy against King Joram.( Now Joram had been with the army at Ramoth gilead, defending Israel against the forces of King Hazael of Aram.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Joram and all Israel had been at Ramoth-gilead on guard against King Hazael of Aram.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Joram and all Israel had been at Ramoth-gilead on guard against Hazael king of Aram.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram had been in Ramoth Gilead with the whole Israelite army, guarding against an invasion by King Hazael of Syria.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram was keeping Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;

Then he went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth gilead, and the Arameans wounded Joram.

Now the king of Israel said to his servants,“ Are you aware that Ramoth gilead belongs to us, yet we are hesitant to take it out of the hand of the king of Aram?”

Now in the morning he went out and stood and said to all the people,“ You are innocent; behold, I conspired against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?

As Jehu entered the gate, she said,“ Is your intention peace, Zimri, his master’s murderer?”

Then Baasha the son of Ahijah of the house of Issachar conspired against him, and Baasha struck and killed him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, while Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.

And his servant Zimri, commander of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now Elah was in Tirzah drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was in charge of the household in Tirzah.

And Hazael said,“ Why is my lord weeping?” And he answered,“ Because I know the evil that you will do to the sons of Israel: you will set their fortified cities on fire, you will kill their young men with the sword, their little ones you will smash to pieces, and you will rip up their pregnant women.”Then Hazael said,“ But what is your servant— a lowly dog— that he could do this great thing?” And Elisha answered,“ The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”So he left Elisha and came to his master, who said to him,“ What did Elisha say to you?” And he answered,“ He told me that you would certainly recover.”But on the following day, he took the cover and dipped it in water, and spread it over his face, so that he died. And Hazael became king in his place.

And the people who were camped heard it being said,“ Zimri has conspired and has also struck and killed the king!” Therefore all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.

Moreover, the word of the Lord through the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came against Baasha and his household, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with the work of his hands, by being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck it.

And Hoshea the son of Elah formed a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him and put him to death, and he became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
