於是寧示孫、約沙法子耶戶叛約蘭、初、約蘭與以色列眾禦亞蘭王哈薛、戍守基列拉末、

初約藍率以色列族眾、守基列之喇末、攻亞蘭王哈泄、約藍被傷、則歸耶斯烈、而療其疾、寧示孫約沙法子耶戶叛約藍、告從者曰、若愜爾意、毋許人出、以洩此事、為耶斯烈人所知。

如是、寧示孫約沙法子耶戶叛約蘭、先是約蘭與以色列軍眾、緣亞蘭王哈薛之故、在基列之拉末戍守、

So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram.( Now Joram and all Israel had been defending Ramoth Gilead against Hazael king of Aram,

Jehu was the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Jehu made plans against Joram. During that time Joram and Israel’s whole army had been guarding Ramoth Gilead. They had been guarding it against Hazael, the king of Aram.

Thus Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram with all Israel had been on guard at Ramoth-gilead against Hazael king of Syria,

So Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, led a conspiracy against King Joram.( Now Joram had been with the army at Ramoth gilead, defending Israel against the forces of King Hazael of Aram.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Joram and all Israel had been at Ramoth-gilead on guard against King Hazael of Aram.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram with all Israel was defending Ramoth gilead against Hazael king of Aram,

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Joram and all Israel had been at Ramoth-gilead on guard against Hazael king of Aram.

Then Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. Now Joram had been in Ramoth Gilead with the whole Israelite army, guarding against an invasion by King Hazael of Syria.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram.( Now Joram was keeping Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria;

And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.

And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead[ is] ours, and we[ be] still,[ and] take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?

And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye[ be] righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said,[ Had] Zimri peace, who slew his master?

And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which[ belonged] to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.

And his servant Zimri, captain of half[ his] chariots, conspired against him, as he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza steward of[ his] house in Tirzah.

And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.And Hazael said, But what,[ is] thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou[ shalt be] king over Syria.So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me[ that] thou shouldest surely recover.And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped[ it] in water, and spread[ it] on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

And the people[ that were] encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.

And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.

And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
