Elisha went to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram was ill. When the king was told,“ The man of God has come all the way up here,”

Now Elisha came to Damascus. Ben-hadad the king of Syria was sick. And when it was told him,“ The man of God has come here,”

蓋亞蘭之首為大馬色、大馬色之首為利汛、以法蓮之首為撒瑪利亞、撒瑪利亞之首為利瑪利子、六十五年之內、以法蓮必敗、不復為國、如爾弗信、則不堅立、○

一臣曰、我主我王歟、非也、乃以色列之先知以利沙、以王在寢室所言者、告以色列王、

便哈達曰、昔我先人所奪爾父之邑、我必反爾、我先人在撒瑪利亞為市、今爾在大馬色亦可為市、亞哈曰、有此盟約、可釋爾歸、於是立約、而使之歸、○

耶羅波安立於壇側、欲焚香時、適有上帝僕、奉耶和華命、自猶大至伯特利、

乘夜分隊進攻、追至大馬色北之何把、

上帝僕摩西、於未死之先、為以色列人祝嘏、

居耶利哥之先知徒望見之、則曰、以利亞之神臨以利沙矣、遂來迎之、伏於其前、

或告迦薩人曰、參孫至此、遂伏邑門、竟夕環守、靜默無聲、意謂待至黎明、我必殺之、

遂遣五十夫長、率五十人詣之、見其坐於山巔、謂之曰、上帝僕歟、王命爾下、以利亞謂五十夫長曰、如我為上帝僕、願火從天降、燬滅爾及爾之五十人、於是火降自天、燬滅五十夫長、暨五十人、

不遇、則曳耶孫、與數兄弟、至邑宰前、呼曰、擾亂天下者亦至此、

亞撒取耶和華室及王宮府庫、所餘之金銀、付其臣僕、遣詣居大馬色之亞蘭王、希旬孫、他伯利們子便哈達、曰、
