但希律却说：“我已经砍了约翰的头，而这个人又是谁呢？我竟听到关于他这样的事！”于是希律就想要见他。

他回答：“我已经告诉过你们，你们不听，为什么现在又想听呢？难道你们也想成为他的门徒吗？”

然后打发他们前往伯利恒，说：“你们去仔细查问有关那孩子的事，一旦查出来了就向我报告，好让我也去拜他。”

希律见到耶稣就极其欢喜，因为他听说过耶稣的事，早就想要见他，一直希望看他行个神迹。

过了几天，菲利克斯与他的犹太人妻子杜茜拉一起来了。他把保罗叫来，听他讲说对基督耶稣的信仰。
