Ahaziah went with Joram son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. The Arameans wounded Joram;

Ahaziah joined forces with Joram. They went to war against Hazael at Ramoth Gilead. Joram was the son of Ahab. Hazael was king of Aram. The soldiers of Aram wounded King Joram.

He went with Joram the son of Ahab to make war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead, and the Syrians wounded Joram.

他竟實行了亞哈家的主謀，同以色列王亞哈的兒子約蘭往基列的拉末去、跟亞蘭王哈薛交戰；亞蘭人擊傷了約蘭。

在基列的拉末有便基別；屬於他的有那在基列的、瑪拿西子孫的睚珥帳篷村；屬於他的有那在巴珊的亞珥歌伯區，六十個大鄉鎮、都有牆有銅閂；

以色列人又從迦得支派的產業中將接受誤殺人者的逃罪城、基列的拉末、和屬拉末的牧場、給了他們，又給他們瑪哈念和屬瑪哈念的牧場，

戰車長們看見約沙法，便心裏說：『這必是以色列王。』就繞過去跟他交戰；約沙法一喊叫起來，永恆主就幫助他，上帝又誘導他們離開了他。

第二天哈薛拿被窩，蘸在水裏，鋪在王的臉上，王就死了；於是哈薛接替他作王。

以色列王對臣僕說：『你們不知道基列的拉末是屬於我們的麼？我們，我們怎可靜坐不動、不從亞蘭王手裏奪回來呢？』亞哈問約沙法說：『你要在基列的拉末跟我去交戰麼？』約沙法對以色列王說：『你我不分彼此：我的人民就等於你的人民，我的馬就等於你的馬。』

哈薛說：『我主為甚麼哭呢？』他回答說：『因為我知道你對以色列人所要施的苦害；他們的堡壘你必放火燒，他們的壯丁你必用刀殺戮，他們的嬰孩你必摔死，他們的孕婦你必剖開。』哈薛說：『你僕人算甚麼？不過是一條狗：怎能行這大事呢？』以利沙說：『永恆主指示我、你必作王去管理亞蘭。』

見異象者哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來和約沙法王見面，對他說：『你哪可幫助惡人、愛那恨惡永恆主的人呢？因此那出於永恆主的震怒就要臨到你了。

他就進行，差遣人去見猶大王約沙法，說：『摩押王背叛了我；你要跟我去對摩押作戰麼？』他說：『我要上去；你我不分彼此：我的人民就等於你的人民，我的馬就等於你的馬。』

過了幾年、他下到撒瑪利亞去見亞哈。亞哈為他和跟隨的人宰了許多牛羊，又慫恿着他上基列的拉末去。以色列王亞哈問猶大王約沙法說：『你要和我一同上基列的拉末去麼？』他回答他說：『你我不分彼此：我的人民就等於你的人民；我要同你在一起去參戰。』

後來約蘭王卻返回耶斯列去醫治他跟亞蘭王哈薛交戰時亞蘭人所給他的擊傷。）耶戶說：『若合你們的意思，那麼就不要讓人逃出城到耶斯列去報信。』

以色列王和猶大王約沙法上基列的拉末去了。

將來躲避了哈薛的刀的、耶戶必殺死他；躲避了耶戶的刀的、以利沙必殺死他。
