Ahaziah went with Joram son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. The Arameans wounded Joram;

Ahaziah joined forces with Joram. They went to war against Hazael at Ramoth Gilead. Joram was the son of Ahab. Hazael was king of Aram. The soldiers of Aram wounded King Joram.

從亞哈家之言、偕以色列王亞哈子約蘭、往基列之拉末、與亞蘭王哈謝戰、亞哈子約蘭在拉末與亞蘭王哈謝戰時、亞蘭人擊約蘭而傷之、約蘭遂返耶斯列就醫、猶大王約蘭子亞撒利雅、即亞哈謝別名下耶斯烈、見之問疾、

在基列之拉末、有便基別、或作基別子彼轄瑪拿西裔睚珥諸村、在基列者、又轄巴珊之亞珥歌伯地、大邑六十、皆有城垣銅鍵、

在迦得支派中、得基列之拉末與其郊、為誤殺人者逃避之邑、又得瑪哈念與其郊、

率車之諸將見約沙法、則曰、此必以色列王也、遂環而攻之、約沙法大聲而呼、主祐之、使敵離之去、

明日、哈薛以厚布浸於水、掩王面、王遂死、於是哈薛代之為王、○

以色列王謂其臣僕曰、基列之拉末屬我儕、爾曹豈不知乎、我儕豈可寂然無事、不往奪於亞蘭王之手乎、遂問約沙法曰、爾欲與我偕往、至基列之拉末以戰乎、約沙法謂以色列王曰、爾我不分彼此、我民如爾民、我馬如爾馬、

哈薛曰、我主、何為哭泣、曰、因我知爾必加害於以色列人、以火燬其堅城、以刃殺其壯丁、擲死其嬰孩、刳剔其孕婦、哈薛曰、僕何人斯、惟一犬耳、焉能作此大事乎、以利沙曰、主默示我、爾必為亞蘭王、

先見哈拿尼子耶戶出迎約沙法王、謂之曰、王助惡人、恨主者王反愛之、豈可哉、因此主必向王震怒、

遣人往見猶大王約沙法曰、摩押王叛我、爾與我偕往攻摩押、可乎、曰、可、我願往、爾我不分彼此、我民如爾民、我馬如爾馬、

越數年、往撒瑪利亞見亞哈、亞哈為彼及其從者多宰牛羊、勸其同往攻基列之拉末、以色列王亞哈問猶大王約沙法曰、爾欲與我偕往基列之拉末乎、答曰、爾我不分彼此、我民如爾民、可偕往以戰、

約蘭與亞蘭王哈薛戰、亞蘭人傷之、遂返耶斯烈、欲醫其傷、耶戶謂眾曰、若合爾意、則不容人出城、恐往耶斯烈報知、
