Nevertheless, for the sake of his servant David, the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah. He had promised to maintain a lamp for David and his descendants forever.

But the Lord didn’t want to destroy Judah. That’s because the Lord had made a covenant with his servant David. The Lord had promised to keep the lamp of David’s kingdom burning brightly. The Lord had promised that for him and his children after him forever.

Yet the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of David his servant, since he promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever.

But the Lord did not want to destroy Judah, for he had promised his servant David that his descendants would continue to rule, shining like a lamp forever.

For the sake of his servant David, the LORD was unwilling to destroy Judah, since he had promised to give a lamp to David and his sons forever.

所以，主会亲自给你们一个征兆，必有童贞女怀孕生子并给祂取名叫以马内利。

然而，耶和华说，‘正如我决不废弃我所定的昼夜交替和天地运行之律，我也决不弃绝雅各的后裔，不弃绝我仆人大卫的后裔。我必让大卫的后裔做王统治亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的子孙，因为我必使被掳的人回到故土，恩待他们。’”

祂伟大无比，将被称为至高者的儿子，主上帝要把祂祖先大卫的王位赐给祂。祂要永远统治以色列，祂的国度永无穷尽。”

我必为自己和我仆人大卫而保护、拯救这城。’”

但他的上帝耶和华因为大卫的缘故，仍然让他儿子在耶路撒冷继位，使耶路撒冷坚立。除了赫人乌利亚事件以外，大卫一生都做耶和华视为正的事，没有违背耶和华的任何命令。

但耶和华不愿毁灭大卫家，因为祂曾与大卫立约，应许让大卫和他的子孙永远做王。

洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛赶来救驾，杀死了非利士巨人。这事以后，大卫的部下向他起誓说：“你绝不可再跟我们一起出战，免得以色列的灯熄灭。”

我必为自己和我仆人大卫而保护、拯救这城。’”
