He followed the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for he married a daughter of Ahab. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.

亞哈謝即位時、年二十有二歲、都耶路撒冷、在位一年、其母名亞他利雅、為以色列王暗利孫女、

我將以量撒瑪利亞之繩、與權亞哈家之錘、施於耶路撒冷、或作昔我滅撒瑪利亞及亞哈家必循此準繩以滅耶路撒冷必拭去耶路撒冷、如人拭盂即覆之、

乃效以色列列王之所為、使猶大人與耶路撒冷居民行邪、與亞哈家無異、又在爾父家殺愈爾之諸弟、

我斥責之、咒詛之、撻其數人、拔其髮、使之指天主而誓、必不以女嫁異邦人、不娶其女為妻、為媳、謂之曰、昔以色列王所羅門、亦因斯事犯罪、在列國中、無王可比、為其天主所愛、天主立之為以色列王、然異邦之女、誘之獲罪、

自昔以來、未有若亞哈情甘自棄、行惡於主前者、蓋為其后耶洗別所慫恿、

爾宜殺爾主王亞哈之家、我將於耶洗別之身、報殺我僕眾先知及諸事我者之仇、亞哈全家必滅、凡屬亞哈之男、或主或作已長大之人或僕、或作未長大之人悉絕之於以色列人中、

約沙法饒有貨財、極其尊榮、遂與亞哈聯姻、

猶大王約沙法十七年、亞哈子亞哈謝、即位為以色列王、都撒瑪利亞、在位二年、行惡於主前、效其父之所為、並效其母之所為、昔尼八子耶羅波安使以色列人陷於罪、彼亦效其所為、

所羅門王除法老女外、寵愛異族之女甚多、即摩押女、以東女、西頓女、赫人女、論此諸族、主曾諭以色列人曰、爾勿與彼往來相通、原文作勿入其中亦不容彼入爾中恐其誘惑爾心、信從他神、然所羅門戀愛此異族之女、所羅門有妃七百、嬪三百、咸誘惑其心、所羅門年既老、妃嬪誘惑其心、信從他神、不效其父大衛誠心順服主其天主、所羅門信從西頓人之女神亞斯他錄、又信從亞捫人可憎之物米勒公、

行惡於主前、效以色列列王之所為、與亞哈家所行無異、因娶亞哈之女為后也、

復建父希西家所毀之邱壇、亦為巴力設壇、亦立亞舍拉、效以色列王亞哈所為、又崇拜奉事天之萬象、天之萬象原文作天之眾軍下同

行惡於主前、第不至如其父母、蓋其父所作巴力之偶像、約蘭除之、然使以色列人陷於罪者尼八子耶羅波安之罪、彼恆從之不離、○

爾猶守暗利之陋規、陋規或作惡習原文作律例行亞哈家一切所行、從其所謀、故我必使爾城邑荒蕪、使居民為人所訕笑、我民受辱、爾曹亦必當之、我民受辱爾曹亦必當之有作爾曹必負萬民之恥笑

先見哈拿尼子耶戶出迎約沙法王、謂之曰、王助惡人、恨主者王反愛之、豈可哉、因此主必向王震怒、

耶路撒冷居民、立約蘭季子亞哈謝繼之為王、蓋約蘭諸子、長於彼者、俱為攻猶大營之亞拉伯人群寇所殺、如是猶大王約蘭子亞哈謝為王、亞哈謝即位時、年四十有二歲考列王下八章二十六節作二十二歲都耶路撒冷、在位一年、其母名亞他利雅、為暗利孫女、亞哈謝亦效亞哈家之所為、蓋其從母言而行惡也、行惡於主前、與亞哈家無異、其父歿後、從亞哈家之謀、自取毀敗、

爾與彼勿相嫁娶、爾女勿嫁其子、爾子勿娶其女、恐其誘惑爾子離棄主、主原文作我從事他神、如是主必向爾震怒、滅爾甚速、

人蕃衍於地、亦生女、神子見世人之女美麗、乃隨意選擇、娶以為妻、主曰、人既為肉體、我之神不恆居於其內、或作我之神不永與之爭姑容其一百二十年、或作以後其壽命至一百二十年當時有偉丈夫在世、後、神子與世人之女同室、生子亦偉丈夫、即亙古以來、英武有名之人、○主見人在世、罪惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆為奸惡、
