In the fifth year of Joram son of Ahab king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was king of Judah, Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat began his reign as king of Judah.

Jehoram began to rule as king over Judah. It was in the fifth year that Joram was king of Israel. Joram was the son of Ahab. Jehoram was the son of Jehoshaphat.

In the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign.

約沙法既薨、與列祖同葬、在祖大闢之城。其子約蘭繼位。

約沙法薨、與列祖同葬於大闢之邑、子約蘭繼位。約蘭弟、亞薩哩亞、耶歇、撒加利亞、亞薩哩亞米加勒、示法提亞、皆約沙法王庶子、其父存日、厚賜以金銀寶物、使往猶大諸邑、約蘭乃其長子、故以國祚賜之。約蘭繼父位、其國鞏固、殺戮諸弟、及以色列諸伯。○約蘭年三十有二即位、都耶路撒冷、凡八年、及娶以色列王亞哈女為后、則效其家之所為、行惡於耶和華前。耶和華昔與大闢約、俾歷代有光、故大闢之家不殲滅。當時以東人叛猶大、立王治理、以東人環攻約蘭、及其軍長、約蘭率群伯車輛、夤夜擊之。約蘭既背列祖之上帝耶和華、故以東人叛猶大、迄今尚未臣服、立拿人亦叛。約蘭在猶大山、築崇坵、威迫猶大族、耶路撒冷民、縱欲服事偶像。○或以先知以利亞書、陳於王、書畧曰、爾祖大闢之上帝耶和華云、因爾不從猶大王亞撒、及父約沙法之道、乃效以色列列王尤、使猶大族、耶路撒冷民、狥私欲、拜偶像、與亞哈家無異、亦因爾殺愈己之昆弟、故耶和華必降災於爾民、及爾妻孥、與凡所有、使爾患腸疾、腸墜日劇。○耶和華使非利士人與附古實之亞喇伯人、攻約蘭、侵猶大地、劫王宮貨財、擄其妻孥、惟季子約哈斯得免。嗣後耶和華擊約蘭、約蘭患腸疾、醫不能治。越二年腸墜、病劇而薨、前王沒、百姓焚香、至此無聞焉。約蘭年三十有二即位、都耶路撒冷、凡八載、死之日民無慕之者、葬於大闢邑、不在列王之墓。
