正如古时的箴言所说：‘恶事出于恶人’，我的手绝不敌对你。

耶西就派人去把他带来；他面色红润，双目清秀，样貌英俊。耶和华说：“起来膏抹他，就是这个人！”于是撒母耳拿起装膏油的犄角，在他兄弟们当中膏抹了他。从那天以后，耶和华的灵就大大临到大卫。撒母耳起身回拉玛去了。

他在床上就图谋作恶，定意行不善之道，不拒绝恶事。”

大卫对亚比筛说：“不要杀害他！有谁对耶和华的受膏者下手而能免受罪责呢？”大卫又说：“我指着耶和华的永生起誓：一定是耶和华来击打他——或是到了所定的日子而死，或是出战阵亡；耶和华绝不允许我对耶和华的受膏者下手。现在，去把他头旁的长矛和水瓶拿过来，然后我们就走！”

祸哉！你这未遭毁灭的毁灭者，未遭背信之事的背信者！你行完了毁灭，自己必遭毁灭；你做尽了背信之事，自己必遭背信之事。
