哈薛说：“你仆人算什么，不过是一条狗，怎能做这样的大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华告诉我，你要做亚兰王。”

耶和华吩咐他说：“你原路返回，前往大马士革附近的旷野，到了之后要膏立哈薛做亚兰王。

雅比的儿子沙龙谋反，当众杀了撒迦利雅，篡位做了以色列王。撒迦利雅其他的事都记在以色列的列王史上。这件事应验了从前耶和华对耶户的应许：“你的子孙必做以色列王，一直到第四代。”犹大王乌西雅执政第三十九年，雅比的儿子沙龙登基，在撒玛利亚执政一个月。迦底的儿子米拿现从得撒去撒玛利亚杀了沙龙，篡位做了以色列王。

进去杀了他，篡了位。那一年是亚撒做犹大王第二十七年。

大卫的部下对大卫说：“耶和华说过要把你的仇敌交在你手中，任你处置，今天机会来了。”大卫就爬过去，偷偷割了扫罗外袍的一角。事后，大卫心里不安，他对部下说：“我不该做这样的事，我主是耶和华所膏立的王，我绝不出手伤害他，因为他是耶和华所膏立的。”大卫用这些话拦住他的部下，不让他们杀扫罗。扫罗起来离开山洞走了，

所罗门的一个臣仆耶罗波安也叛变了。他是以法莲支派洗利达人尼八的儿子，母亲洗鲁阿是个寡妇。以下是他反叛所罗门的缘由：当年所罗门建造米罗堡，修补大卫城的城墙时，发现年轻的耶罗波安勤奋能干，就提拔他监管约瑟家族的一切工程。有一次，耶罗波安出了耶路撒冷，在路上遇见身披新衣的示罗人亚希雅先知。当时野外只有他们二人。亚希雅将身上的新衣撕作十二片，对耶罗波安说：“你可以拿十片。以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘我必夺走所罗门的国，把十个支派赐给你。然而，为了我仆人大卫和我在以色列众支派中拣选的耶路撒冷城，我会留下一个支派给所罗门。所罗门背弃了我，去祭拜西顿人的女神亚斯她录、摩押的神明基抹、亚扪人的神明米勒公。他没有遵行我的道，没有做我视为正的事，也不像他父亲大卫那样遵守我的律例和典章。然而，我不会夺走他整个国，我会让所罗门终生为王，因为我所拣选的仆人大卫遵守我的诫命和律法。我必从他儿子手中把国夺走，将十个支派赐给你，只给他儿子留下一个支派，好使我仆人大卫有后裔留在我选为居所的耶路撒冷城。我要让你做王，使你如愿地统治以色列。

比加辖的一名将军、利玛利的儿子比加谋反，率领五十名基列人在撒玛利亚王宫里刺杀了比加辖、亚珥歌伯和亚利耶。比加篡位做了以色列王。

俗语说，‘恶事出于恶人’，所以我不会动手伤害你。

耶西就派人去叫他回来。他面色红润，眉清目秀，相貌英俊。耶和华说：“就是他，起来膏立他吧。”撒母耳就拿出盛膏油的角，当着他哥哥们的面膏立他。从那天起，耶和华的灵降在大卫身上。事后，撒母耳回拉玛去了。

他们躺在床上盘算作恶，执意走罪恶的道路，无恶不作。

耶户张弓搭箭，射中约兰的后背，箭穿透他的心脏，他倒毙在车上。

躺在床上图谋不轨、盘算作恶的人有祸了！天一亮，他们就依仗手中的权势行恶。

乌西雅的儿子约坦执政第二十年，以拉的儿子何细亚谋反，杀了利玛利的儿子比加，篡位做了以色列王。

大卫却说：“不要杀他，谁杀害耶和华所膏立的王，都难逃罪责。我凭永活的耶和华起誓，耶和华必亲手击杀他。他要么寿终而死，要么命丧沙场。我在耶和华面前绝不敢出手伤害祂所膏立的王。我们拿走他旁边的矛和水瓶吧。”

心利见城被攻破，就走进王宫的城堡中放火烧宫，自焚而死。

你们这些毁灭别人、自己还未被毁灭的人有祸了！等你们毁灭完了，就毁灭你们。你们这些欺诈别人、自己还未被欺诈的人有祸了！等你们欺诈完了，就欺诈你们。
