Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,“ Go away with your family and stay for a while wherever you can, because the Lord has decreed a famine in the land that will last seven years.”

Elisha had brought a woman’s son back to life. He had said to her,“ Go away with your family. Stay for a while anywhere you can. The Lord has decided that there won’t be enough food in the land. That will be true for seven years.”

Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,“ Arise, and depart with your household, and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called for a famine, and it will come upon the land for seven years.”

Elisha had told the woman whose son he had brought back to life,“ Take your family and move to some other place, for the Lord has called for a famine on Israel that will last for seven years.”

Elisha said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,“ Get ready, you and your household, and go live as a resident alien wherever you can. For the LORD has announced a seven-year famine, and it has already come to the land.”

Now Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying,“ Arise and go with your household, and live wherever you can live; for the Lord has called for a famine, and it will indeed come on the land for seven years.”

Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying,“ Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the Lord has called for a famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years.”

Now Elisha had spoken unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thy household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for Jehovah hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

Elisha said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,“ Get ready, you and your household, and go and live as a foreigner wherever you can. For the Lord has announced a seven-year famine, and it has already come to the land.”

Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

Now Elisha advised the woman whose son he had brought back to life,“ You and your family should go and live somewhere else for a while, for the LORD has decreed that a famine will overtake the land for seven years.”

I called for a drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on that which the ground produces, on men, on livestock, and on all the labor of the hands.”

He called for a famine on the land. He destroyed the food supplies.

Gehazi went ahead of them, and laid the staff on the child’s face; but there was no voice and no hearing. Therefore he returned to meet him, and told him,“ The child has not awakened.”When Elisha had come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and lying on his bed.He went in therefore, and shut the door on them both, and prayed to Yahweh.He went up, and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. He stretched himself on him; and the child’s flesh grew warm.Then he returned, and walked in the house once back and forth; and went up, and stretched himself out on him. Then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

In the days when the judges judged, there was a famine in the land. A certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to live in the country of Moab with his wife and his two sons.

When the child was grown, one day he went out to his father to the reapers.

When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight. You shall eat, and not be satisfied.

But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.

There was a famine in the land. Abram went down into Egypt to live as a foreigner there, for the famine was severe in the land.

Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. The famine was severe in Samaria.

Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.That is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.

For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.”’

There was a famine in the land, in addition to the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, to Gerar.

For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Yahweh. Yahweh said,“ It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put the Gibeonites to death.”

Yahweh will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with fiery heat, with the sword, with blight, and with mildew. They will pursue you until you perish.Your sky that is over your head will be bronze, and the earth that is under you will be iron.Yahweh will make the rain of your land powder and dust. It will come down on you from the sky, until you are destroyed.

So Gad came to David, and told him, and said to him,“ Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ pestilence in your land? Now answer, and consider what answer I shall return to him who sent me.”

They also said to Pharaoh,“ We have come to live as foreigners in the land, for there is no pasture for your servants’ flocks. For the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. Now therefore, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”

You will carry much seed out into the field, and will gather little in, for the locust will consume it.You will plant vineyards and dress them, but you will neither drink of the wine, nor harvest, because worms will eat them.You will have olive trees throughout all your borders, but you won’t anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives will drop off.

I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like bronze.Your strength will be spent in vain; for your land won’t yield its increase, neither will the trees of the land yield their fruit.

There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

One of them named Agabus stood up, and indicated by the Spirit that there should be a great famine all over the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius.

The dream was doubled to Pharaoh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
