Now Elisha advised the woman whose son he had brought back to life,“ You and your family should go and live somewhere else for a while, for the LORD has decreed that a famine will overtake the land for seven years.”

有婦人焉、以利沙曾甦其子、今告之曰、耶和華命必使饑饉、臨於斯土、歷至七載、爾與爾家、必當遷徙、隨爾所適、

昔以利沙甦婦之子、今告斯婦曰、爾與爾家皆起、往可居之地而居、蓋主命定於斯地、將饑饉七年、

Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,“ Go away with your family and stay for a while wherever you can, because the Lord has decreed a famine in the land that will last seven years.”

Elisha had brought a woman’s son back to life. He had said to her,“ Go away with your family. Stay for a while anywhere you can. The Lord has decided that there won’t be enough food in the land. That will be true for seven years.”

Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,“ Arise, and depart with your household, and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called for a famine, and it will come upon the land for seven years.”

Elisha had told the woman whose son he had brought back to life,“ Take your family and move to some other place, for the Lord has called for a famine on Israel that will last for seven years.”

Elisha said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,“ Get ready, you and your household, and go live as a resident alien wherever you can. For the LORD has announced a seven-year famine, and it has already come to the land.”

Now Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying,“ Arise and go with your household, and live wherever you can live; for the Lord has called for a famine, and it will indeed come on the land for seven years.”

Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

Now Elisha had spoken to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying,“ Arise, and go, you and your household, and stay for a while wherever you can; for Yahweh has called for a famine. It will also come on the land for seven years.”

Moreover, I have called for a drought that will affect the fields, the hill country, the grain, new wine, fresh olive oil, and everything that grows from the ground; it also will harm people, animals, and everything they produce.’”

He called down a famine upon the earth; he cut off all the food supply.

Now Gehazi went on ahead of them. He placed the staff on the child’s face, but there was no sound or response. When he came back to Elisha he told him,“ The child did not wake up.”When Elisha arrived at the house, there was the child lying dead on his bed.He went in by himself and closed the door. Then he prayed to the LORD.He got up on the bed and spread his body out over the boy; he put his mouth on the boy’s mouth, his eyes over the boy’s eyes, and the palms of his hands against the boy’s palms. He bent down over him, and the boy’s skin grew warm.Elisha went back and walked around in the house. Then he got up on the bed again and bent down over him. The child sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.

During the time of the judges there was a famine in the land of Judah. So a man from Bethlehem in Judah went to live as a resident foreigner in the region of Moab, along with his wife and two sons.

The boy grew and one day he went out to see his father who was with the harvest workers.

When I break off your supply of bread, ten women will bake your bread in one oven; they will ration your bread by weight, and you will eat and not be satisfied.

But in truth I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s days, when the sky was shut up three and a half years, and there was a great famine over all the land.

There was a famine in the land, so Abram went down to Egypt to stay for a while because the famine was severe.

So Elijah went to make an appearance before Ahab. Now the famine was severe in Samaria.

The seven lean, bad-looking cows that came up after them represent seven years, as do the seven empty heads of grain burned with the east wind. They represent seven years of famine.This is just what I told Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.

There was a famine in the land, subsequent to the earlier famine that occurred in the days of Abraham. Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines at Gerar.

because these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.

During David’s reign there was a famine for three consecutive years. So David inquired of the LORD. The LORD said,“ It is because of Saul and his bloodstained family, because he murdered the Gibeonites.”

“ You will take much seed to the field but gather little harvest, because locusts will consume it.You will plant vineyards and cultivate them, but you will not drink wine or gather in grapes, because worms will eat them.You will have olive trees throughout your territory but you will not anoint yourself with olive oil, because the olives will drop off the trees while still unripe.

I will break your strong pride and make your sky like iron and your land like bronze.Your strength will be used up in vain, your land will not give its yield, and the trees of the land will not produce their fruit.

There will be great earthquakes, and famines and plagues in various places, and there will be terrifying sights and great signs from heaven.

and a fruitful land into a barren place, because of the sin of its inhabitants.

One of them, named Agabus, got up and predicted by the Spirit that a severe famine was about to come over the whole inhabited world.( This took place during the reign of Claudius.)

The dream was repeated to Pharaoh because the matter has been decreed by God, and God will make it happen soon.
