震懾的聲音常在他耳中；在興隆時、強盜必臨到他那裏。

有禍啊！那些下埃及去求幫助的！他們依靠馬匹，倚賴車輛，因為很多；他們倚賴馬兵，因為馬兵極強壯，他們卻不仰望以色列之聖者，永恆主、他們竟不求問！

他們震懾恐懼，因為上帝在義人的族類中。

若不然，你怎能使我主上最小的臣僕之中之一個軍長轉臉而逃呢？你竟倚靠埃及要得戰車和駿馬呀！

羅波安王五年、埃及王示撒上來攻打耶路撒冷；因為王和眾民都對永恆主不忠實。示撒帶着戰車一千二百輛、駿馬六萬，跟那些從埃及和他同來的無數兵眾：就是路比人、蘇基人和古實人。

基路伯翅膀的響聲連外院也可以聽得到，就像全能上帝說話時的聲音。

看吧！我必使他靈機一動，就聽見風聲，而回他本地去；我必使他在他本地那裏倒在刀下。」』

牠們有胸甲像鐵的胸甲，牠們翅膀的響聲像許多車馬奔跑出戰的響聲。

第二天巴施戶珥將耶利米從枷架上放出來，於是耶利米對他說：『永恆主不把你的名叫巴施戶珥，乃叫做四圍恐怖。因為永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使你和一切友愛你的人都覺得恐怖；他們必倒斃在他們的仇敵刀下，你必親眼看見。我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王手中；他必使他們流亡到巴比倫去，用刀擊殺他們。

第二天早晨，日光照在水上，摩押人清早起來，看見對面水紅如血；就說：『這是血啊！三個王必是互相擊殺、均敗俱亡了。摩押人哪，我們現在去奪取掠物吧！』摩押人到了以色列營，以色列人起來擊敗摩押人，摩押人就在以色列人面前逃跑；以色列人進到摩押境內，繼續擊敗了摩押人。翻毁了城市；對一切美好地段他們各拋石頭去填滿它，又塞住一切水泉，砍伐各種好樹，甚至吉珥哈列設也只剩下城牆的石頭；甩石的人都圍繞那城而攻擊它。摩押王見戰勢劇烈、難以對敵，就率領能拔刀的七百人，要衝破戰陣到以東王那裏，卻不能；就把將要接替自己作王的長子在城牆上獻為燔祭。以色列人大為驚愕失措；三王便回本地去了。

地上的君王、大官、千夫長、富戶、壯士、和一切為奴的、自主的、都藏在洞窟和山上的磐石裏；向山和磐石說：『倒在我們身上吧，把我們藏起來，好躲避坐寶座者的面目和羔羊的義怒哦。』
