The man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float.

神人问说：“掉在哪里了？”他将那地方指给以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根木头，抛在水里，斧头就漂上来了。

上帝僕曰、墜於何所、遂示其處、則斬木投水、鐵上浮、

The man of God asked,“ Where did the blade fall?” He showed Elisha the place. Then Elisha cut a stick and threw it there. That made the iron blade float.

Then the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there and made the iron float.

“ Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface.

Then the man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, the man of God cut a piece of wood, threw it there, and made the iron float.

Then the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” And when he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron float.

And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither, and made the iron to swim.

The prophet asked,“ Where did it drop in?” When he showed him the spot, Elisha cut off a branch, threw it in at that spot, and made the ax head float.

Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.

Elisha said,“ Get some flour.” He put it into the pot and said,“ Serve it to the people to eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.

After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.“ Go,” he told him,“ wash in the Pool of Siloam”( this word means“ Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked,“ Do you see anything?”He looked up and said,“ I see people; they look like trees walking around.”Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue.He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him,“ Ephphatha!”( which means“ Be opened!”).
