Then the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” And when he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there, and made the iron float.

神人问说：“掉在哪里了？”他将那地方指给以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根木头，抛在水里，斧头就漂上来了。

上帝僕曰、墜於何所、遂示其處、則斬木投水、鐵上浮、

神人曰、墮於何處、遂以其處示之、以利沙斬片木投於水、斧鐵即浮上、

The man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float.

The man of God asked,“ Where did the blade fall?” He showed Elisha the place. Then Elisha cut a stick and threw it there. That made the iron blade float.

Then the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there and made the iron float.

“ Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface.

Then the man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, the man of God cut a piece of wood, threw it there, and made the iron float.

So the man of God said,“ Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.

And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither, and made the iron to swim.

Then the man of God asked,“ Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, the man of God cut a stick, threw it there, and made the iron float.

The prophet asked,“ Where did it drop in?” When he showed him the spot, Elisha cut off a branch, threw it in at that spot, and made the ax head float.

Then he went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ I have purified these waters; there shall not come from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’ ”

Then he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters became sweet. There He made for them a statute and regulation, and there He tested them.

Then he said,“ Bring flour.” And he threw it into the pot, and said,“ Pour it out for the people that they may eat.” Then there was nothing harmful in the pot.

When He had said this, He spit on the ground, and made mud from the saliva, and applied the mud to his eyes,and said to him,“ Go, wash in the pool of Siloam”( which is translated, Sent). So he left and washed, and came back seeing.

Taking the man who was blind by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting in his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him,“ Do you see anything?”And he looked up and said,“ I see people, for I see them like trees, walking around.”Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.

And Jesus took him aside from the crowd, by himself, and put His fingers in his ears, and after spitting, He touched his tongue with the saliva;and looking up to heaven with a deep sigh, He* said to him,“ Ephphatha!” that is,“ Be opened!”
