While he was still talking to them, the messenger came down to him. The king said,“ This disaster is from the Lord. Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

Elisha was still talking to the elders when the messenger came down to him. The king also arrived. He said,“ The Lord has sent this horrible trouble on us. Why should I wait any longer for him to help us?”

And while he was still speaking with them, the messenger came down to him and said,“ This trouble is from the Lord! Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

While Elisha was still saying this, the messenger arrived. And the king said,“ All this misery is from the Lord! Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

He was still talking to them when the messenger approached and said,“ Look, the LORD is responsible for this disaster! Why should I continue to wait for the LORD to help?”

While he was still talking with them, behold, the messenger came down to him. Then he said,“ Behold, this evil is from Yahweh. Why should I wait for Yahweh any longer?”

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still hold fast thine integrity? renounce God, and die.

And they shall pass through it, sore distressed and hungry; and it shall come to pass that, when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse by their king and by their God, and turn their faces upward:

And I will wait for Jehovah, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

For evil- doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land.

But put forth thy hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce thee to thy face.

For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hasteth toward the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.

that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

But put forth thy hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will renounce thee to thy face.

so that contrariwise ye should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his overmuch sorrow.

Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

And Cain said unto Jehovah, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that Jehovah hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;and in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of Jehovah; for that he heareth your murmurings against Jehovah: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?And Moses said, This shall be, when Jehovah shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that Jehovah heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against Jehovah.

My soul, wait thou in silence for God only; For my expectation is from him.

Who is among you that feareth Jehovah, that obeyeth the voice of his servant? he that walketh in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely upon his God.

saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou to it.And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.

And he spake a parable unto them to the end that they ought always to pray, and not to faint;

and he said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: Jehovah gave, and Jehovah hath taken away; blessed be the name of Jehovah.

The foolishness of man subverteth his way; And his heart fretteth against Jehovah.

Then said Saul to his armorbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armorbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell upon it.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.

And when Saul inquired of Jehovah, Jehovah answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at En- dor.And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and went, he and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, Divine unto me, I pray thee, by the familiar spirit, and bring me up whomsoever I shall name unto thee.

And men were scorched with great heat: and they blasphemed the name of God who hath the power over these plagues; and they repented not to give him glory.And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they repented not of their works.

Wait for Jehovah: Be strong, and let thy heart take courage; Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.

Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst. But thou saidst, It is in vain; no, for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.

And thou, son of man, say unto the house of Israel: Thus ye speak, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we pine away in them; how then can we live?
