王对她说：“到底有什么事呢？”她说：“这妇人对我说：‘把你的儿子交出来，今日我们好把他吃了；明天我们可以吃我的儿子。’

王问妇人说：“你有什么苦处？”她回答说：“这妇人对我说：‘将你的儿子取来，我们今日可以吃，明日可以吃我的儿子。’

王对妇人说：“你有什么事？”她说：“这妇人对我说：‘把你的儿子交出来，我们今日可以吃他，明日可以吃我的儿子。’

你有什么难处呢？”

Then the king asked her,“ What’s the matter?” She said,“ This woman said to me,‘ Give up your son, and we will eat him today. Then we will eat my son tomorrow.’

Then the king said to her,“ What is on your mind?” And she said,“ This woman said to me,‘ Give your son so that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’

Then the king said to her,“ What is troubling you?” And she answered,“ This woman said to me,‘ Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’

And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to- day, and we will eat my son to- morrow.

Then the king asked her,“ What’s the matter?” She said,“ This woman said to me,‘ Give up your son, and we will eat him today. Then we will eat my son tomorrow.’

有人在右边切肉，仍然饥饿；在左边吞吃，仍然不饱足；各人竟吃自己手臂的肉。玛拿西吞吃以法莲，以法莲吞吃玛拿西，又一起攻击犹大。虽然这样，耶和华的怒气还没有转消，他的手仍然伸出。

妇人怎能忘记她吃奶的婴孩，不怜悯她亲生的儿子呢？即使她们可能忘记，我也不会忘记你。

在田里的也不要回去取衣服。当那些日子，怀孕的和乳养孩子的有祸了！你们应当祈求，叫你们逃难的时候，不是在冬天或安息日，因为那时必有大灾难，这是从世界的开始到现在未曾有过的，以后也必不会再有。

日子将到，人必说：‘不生育的和没有怀过胎的，也没有哺养过婴儿的有福了。’

大海啊！你为什么奔逃？约旦河啊！你为什么倒流？

神听见了童子的声音，他的使者就从天上呼叫夏甲，对她说：“夏甲啊，你为什么这样呢？不要害怕，因为孩子在那里所发的声音神已经听见了。

你们要吃自己儿子的肉，女儿的肉也要吃。

因此，在你中间，父亲要吃儿子，儿子要吃父亲。我要向你施行审判，把你余剩的众人分散到四方去。
