There was a great famine in the city; the siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty shekels of silver, and a quarter of a cab of seed pods for five shekels.

There wasn’t enough food anywhere in the city. It was surrounded for so long that people had to weigh out two pounds of silver for a donkey’s head. They had to weigh out two ounces of silver for half a pint of seed pods.

And there was a great famine in Samaria, as they besieged it, until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and the fourth part of a kab of dove’s dung for five shekels of silver.

As a result, there was a great famine in the city. The siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty pieces of silver, and a cup of dove’s dung sold for five pieces of silver.

So there was a severe famine in Samaria, and they continued the siege against it until a donkey’s head sold for thirty-four ounces of silver, and a cup of dove’s dung sold for two ounces of silver.

我若出往田间，就见有被刀杀的；我若进入城内，就见有因饥荒患病的；连先知带祭司在国中往来，也是毫无知识。’”

看哪，敌人已经来到，筑垒要攻取这城；城也因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫交在攻城的迦勒底人手中。你所说的话都成就了，你也看见了。

王问妇人说：“你有什么苦处？”她回答说：“这妇人对我说：‘将你的儿子取来，我们今日可以吃，明日可以吃我的儿子。’我们就煮了我的儿子吃了。次日我对她说：‘要将你的儿子取来，我们可以吃。’她却将她的儿子藏起来了。”

我就说：“唉！主耶和华啊，那些先知常对他们说：‘你们必不看见刀剑，也不遭遇饥荒；耶和华要在这地方赐你们长久的平安。’”耶和华对我说：“那些先知托我的名说假预言，我并没有打发他们，没有吩咐他们，也没有对他们说话；他们向你们预言的，乃是虚假的异象和占卜，并虚无的事，以及本心的诡诈。所以耶和华如此说：论到托我名说预言的那些先知，我并没有打发他们；他们还说这地不能有刀剑饥荒，其实那些先知必被刀剑饥荒灭绝。

四月初九日，城里有大饥荒，甚至百姓都没有粮食。

我们若说，进城去吧！城里有饥荒，必死在那里；若在这里坐着不动，也必是死。来吧，我们去投降亚兰人的军队，他们若留我们的活命，就活着；若杀我们，就死了吧！”

我要折断你们的杖，就是断绝你们的粮。那时，必有十个女人在一个炉子给你们烤饼，按分量秤给你们；你们要吃，也吃不饱。

四月初九日，城里有大饥荒，甚至百姓都没有粮食。

耶和华说：“以色列人在我所赶他们到的各国中，也必这样吃不洁净的食物。”我说：“哎！主耶和华啊，我素来未曾被玷污，从幼年到如今没有吃过自死的，或被野兽撕裂的，那可憎的肉也未曾入我的口。”于是他对我说：“看哪，我给你牛粪代替人粪，你要将你的饼烤在其上。”他又对我说：“人子啊，我必在耶路撒冷折断他们的杖，就是断绝他们的粮。他们吃饼要按分量，忧虑而吃；喝水也要按制子，惊惶而喝；

以利亚就去，要使亚哈得见他。那时，撒玛利亚有大饥荒；
