不，你們要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；要借給他們，絕不期望甚麼。那麼你們的賞報就大了，你們就做了至高者的兒子了；因為他待忘恩負義和邪惡的人都有慈惠。

仇恨你的若餓了，你就給他飯喫；若渴了，你就給他水喝；因為這樣行，你是揑炭火堆在他頭上，永恆主必賞報你。

對大衛說：『你比我正義；你以善報我，我卻以惡報你。你今天明白地宣示你怎樣以善待我：因為永恆主將我送交你手裏，你卻沒有殺害我。
