But he answered,“ You shall not kill them. Would you kill those whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow? Set food and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master.”

以利沙答道：“不可杀他们。岂可杀从战场上抓来的俘虏呢？给他们吃的喝的，让他们回自己主人那里吧。”

“ Of course not!” Elisha replied.“ Do we kill prisoners of war? Give them food and drink and send them home again to their master.”

Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.”

Therefore“ If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

In that day I will make a covenant for them With the beasts of the field, With the birds of the air, And with the creeping things of the ground. Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth, To make them lie down safely.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the Lord will reward you.

For I will not trust in my bow, Nor shall my sword save me.

Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, Will save them by the Lord their God, And will not save them by bow, Nor by sword or battle, By horses or horsemen.”

I sent the hornet before you which drove them out from before you, also the two kings of the Amorites, but not with your sword or with your bow.
