When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha,“ Shall I kill them, my father? Shall I kill them?”

The king of Israel saw them. So he asked Elisha,“ Should I kill them? I need your advice. You are like a father to me. Should I kill them?”

As soon as the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha,“ My father, shall I strike them down? Shall I strike them down?”

When the king of Israel saw them, he shouted to Elisha,“ My father, should I kill them? Should I kill them?”

When the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha,“ Should I kill them, should I kill them, my father?”

Then the king of Israel when he saw them, said to Elisha,“ My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?”

And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?

他的僕人進前來，對他說：「我父啊，先知若吩咐你做一件大事，你豈不做嗎？何況說你去沐浴而得潔淨呢？」

於是哈薛用四十個駱駝，馱着大馬士革的各樣美物為禮物，去見以利沙。到了他那裏，站在他面前，說：「你兒子亞蘭王便‧哈達打發我來見你，他問說：『我這病能好不能好？』」

以利沙看見，就呼叫說：「我父啊！我父啊！以色列的戰車馬兵啊！」以後不再見他了。於是以利沙把自己的衣服撕為兩片。

以利沙得了必死的病，以色列王約阿施下來看他，伏在他臉上哭泣，說：「我父啊！我父啊！以色列的戰車馬兵啊！」

左右的人見光景不好，就說：「主啊！我們拿刀砍可以不可以？」

他的門徒雅各、約翰看見了，就說：「主啊，你要我們吩咐火從天上降下來燒滅他們，像以利亞所做的嗎？」耶穌轉身責備兩個門徒，說：「你們的心如何，你們並不知道。人子來不是要滅人的性命，是要救人的性命。」說着就往別的村莊去了。

跟隨的人對大衛說：「耶和華曾應許你說：『我要將你的仇敵交在你手裏，你可以任意待他。』如今時候到了！」大衛就起來，悄悄地割下掃羅外袍的衣襟。

亞比篩對大衛說：「現在神將你的仇敵交在你手裏，求你容我拿槍將他刺透在地，一刺就成，不用再刺。」

人若遇見仇敵，豈肯放他平安無事地去呢？願耶和華因你今日向我所行的，以善報你。
