The servant of the man of God got up the next morning. He went out early. He saw that an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city.“ Oh no, my master!” the servant said.“ What can we do?”

伺候神人的僕役清早起來出去，看見車馬軍兵圍着城；僮僕就對神人說：『哀啊，我主啊，我們怎麼辦呢？』

上帝僕之僕夙興而出、見軍旅車馬圍城、則曰、哀哉、我主歟、我儕將何為、

上帝僕之從者、夙興而出、見車騎軍旅、環繞城垣、乃曰、哀哉、我主與、我儕將若何。

When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city.“ Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.

When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said,“ Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere.“ Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.

When the servant of the man of God got up early and went out, he discovered an army with horses and chariots surrounding the city. So he asked Elisha,“ Oh, my master, what are we to do?”

Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him,“ This is hopeless, my master! What are we to do?”

And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him,“ Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, a host with horses and chariots was round about the city. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

When the servant of the man of God got up early and went out, he discovered an army with horses and chariots surrounding the city. So he asked Elisha,“ Oh, my master, what are we to do?”

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

The prophet’s attendant got up early in the morning. When he went outside there was an army surrounding the city, along with horses and chariots. He said to Elisha,“ Oh no, my master! What will we do?”

When the servant of the man of God had risen early, and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was around the city. His servant said to him,“ Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

He replied,“ Your faith is so small! Why are you so afraid?” Then Jesus got up and ordered the winds and the waves to stop. It became completely calm.

You and your children after you will have Naaman’s skin disease forever.” Then Gehazi left Elisha. And he had Naaman’s skin disease. His skin had become as white as snow.

Then Moses and Joshua, his helper, started out. Moses went up on the mountain of God.

But Jehoshaphat asked,“ Isn’t there a prophet of the Lord here? Can’t we ask the Lord for advice through him?” An officer of the king of Israel answered,“ Elisha is here. He’s the son of Shaphat. Elisha used to serve Elijah.”

One of them was cutting down a tree. The iron blade of his ax fell into the water.“ Oh no, master!” he cried out.“ This ax was borrowed!”

They arrived at Salamis. There they preached God’s word in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper.

Just look at them! They are filled with terror even when there is nothing to be afraid of! People of Israel, God scattered the bones of those who attacked you. You put them to shame, because God hated them.

Our God, won’t you please judge them? We don’t have the power to face this huge army that’s attacking us. We don’t know what to do. But we’re looking to you to help us.”

Gehazi was the servant of Elisha, the man of God. Gehazi said to himself,“ My master was too easy on Naaman from Aram. He should have accepted the gift Naaman brought. I’m going to run after him. I’m going to get something from him. And that’s just as sure as the Lord is alive.”

So Elisha left him and went back. He got his two oxen and killed them. He burned the plow to cook the meat. He gave it to the people, and they ate it. Then he started to follow Elijah. He became Elijah’s servant.

Don’t be like that. Instead, anyone who wants to be important among you must be your servant.And anyone who wants to be first must be your slave.Be like the Son of Man. He did not come to be served. Instead, he came to serve others. He came to give his life as the price for setting many people free.”
