“ None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers,“ but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.”

“ You are my king and master,” said one of his officers.“ None of us is on Israel’s side. But Elisha is a prophet in Israel. He tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in your own bedroom.”

And one of his servants said,“ None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

“ It’s not us, my lord the king,” one of the officers replied.“ Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in the privacy of your bedroom!”

One of his servants said,“ No one, my lord the king. Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in your bedroom.”

One of his servants said,“ No, my lord, the king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

And one of his servants said, Nay, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.

One of his servants said,“ No one, my lord the king. Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in your bedroom.”

And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that[ is] in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.

One of his advisers said,“ No, my master, O king. The prophet Elisha who lives in Israel keeps telling the king of Israel the things you say in your bedroom.”

One of his servants said,“ No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these:As for you, O king, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed, about what would come to pass after this; and He who reveals secrets has made known to you what will be.But as for me, this secret has not been revealed to me because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but for our sakes who make known the interpretation to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.

Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

So it was, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying,“ Why have you torn your clothes? Please let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.”

“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.“ These were the visions of my head while on my bed: I was looking, and behold, A tree in the midst of the earth, And its height was great.The tree grew and became strong; Its height reached to the heavens, And it could be seen to the ends of all the earth.Its leaves were lovely, Its fruit abundant, And in it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it, The birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, And all flesh was fed from it.“ I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.He cried aloud and said thus:‘ Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, Strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, And the birds from its branches.Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, Bound with a band of iron and bronze, In the tender grass of the field. Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, And let him graze with the beasts On the grass of the earth.Let his heart be changed from that of a man, Let him be given the heart of a beast, And let seven times pass over him.‘ This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’“ This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”

Do not curse the king, even in your thought; Do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom; For a bird of the air may carry your voice, And a bird in flight may tell the matter.

“ Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord,“ And not a God afar off?Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord;“ Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.

And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying,“ Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there.”Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.

Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord, And their works are in the dark; They say,“ Who sees us?” and,“ Who knows us?”

Then she said to her mistress,“ If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”

The king answered Daniel, and said,“ Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.”

He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.“ I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said,“ My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you,‘ Wash, and be clean’?”So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said,“ Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.”
