于是亚哈数点了跟从各省省长的年轻人，共有二百三十二人。以后，他又数点所有的人民，以色列众民共有七千人。

‘保罗，不要怕。你必定可以站在凯撒面前；神已经把那些和你同船的人赐给你了。’

于是他下去，在约旦河里浸了七趟，正如神人所吩咐的。他的肌肉就复原，好像小孩子的肌肉，他就得了洁净。

精明人看见灾祸，就躲藏起来；愚蒙人反往前走，自取祸害。

以利沙患了必死的病。以色列王约阿施下到他那里，伏在他的脸上哭，说：“父啊，父啊！以色列的战车和骑兵啊！”

“当你们看见但以理先知所说的‘那造成荒凉的可憎者’，站在圣地的时候（读者必须领悟），那时，住在犹太的应当逃到山上；在房顶的不要下来拿家里的东西；

约翰看见许多法利赛人和撒都该人来到他施洗的地方，就对他们说：“毒蛇所生的啊，谁指示你们逃避那将要来的忿怒呢？

如果我对恶人说：‘你必定死亡！’你却不警告他，也不警戒他离开恶行，好救他的性命，这恶人就必因自己的罪孽死亡。但我要因他的死追究你。如果你警告恶人，他仍不离开他的罪恶和他的恶行，他就必因自己的罪孽死亡，你却救了自己的性命。如果义人偏离正义，行事邪恶，我必把绊脚石放在他面前，他必定死亡；因为你没有警告他，他必因自己的罪死亡。他素常所行的义，也必不被记念。但我要因他的死追究你。如果你警告义人不要犯罪，他就不犯罪。他因为接受警告，就必存活，你也救了自己的性命。”

因着信，挪亚在还没有看见的事上，得了神的警告，就动了敬畏的心，做了一艘方舟，使他全家得救。藉着这信心，他就定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那因信而来的义。

第二天早晨，众人清早起来，出发到提哥亚的旷野去；他们正出去的时候，约沙法站起来，说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，你们要听我的话；信靠耶和华你们的神，你们就必坚立；信靠他的先知，你们就必亨通。”

后来他们在梦中得着指示不要回到希律那里去，就从别的路回乡去了。
