于是，亚哈召集了省长属下的青年军二百三十二人，又召集以色列全军，共七千人。

对我说，‘保罗，不用怕，你一定会站在凯撒面前，上帝也会保全所有和你同船的人。’

乃缦就去约旦河，照上帝仆人的话在河里洗了七次，便洁净了，皮肤变得像小孩子的一样。

明哲人遇祸躲避，愚昧人前去受害。

约翰看见很多法利赛人和撒都该人也来受洗，就对他们说：“你们这些毒蛇的后代！谁指示你们逃避那将临的烈怒呢？

当我说某个恶人必灭亡时，如果你不告诫他，劝告他痛改前非，挽救他的性命，他必死在自己的罪中，而我要追究你的责任。如果你已经告诫他，他还是不肯离开自己的邪恶和罪行，他必死在罪恶之中，而你必免于罪责。如果一个义人偏离正道、犯罪作恶，我会使他跌倒，他必死亡。如果你不告诫他，他必死在罪恶之中，他以前的义行也不会被记念，而我要追究你的责任。如果你告诫他不要犯罪，他听了你的告诫不再犯罪，他必保住性命，你也必免于罪责。”

挪亚因为有信心，在上帝指示他未来要发生的事之后，就怀着敬畏的心建造方舟，来救全家的人。他借着信心定了那个世代的罪，并承受了因信而来的义。

第二天清晨，众人起来去提哥亚的旷野。他们出发的时候，约沙法站着说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民啊，请听我说！要信靠你们的上帝耶和华，你们就必坚立；要相信祂的先知，你们就必得胜。”

他们在梦中得到指示不可回希律那里，便改道返回了家乡。
