Elisha replied,“ I was there in spirit when a man turned and got down from his chariot to meet you. This is not the proper time to accept silver or to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, cattle, and male and female servants.

以利沙对他说：“那人下车转回迎你的时候，我的心岂没有去呢？这岂是受银子、衣裳、买橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊、仆婢的时候呢？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车转过来迎着你的时候，我的心岂没有去呢？这岂是接受银子，接受衣裳、橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊、仆婢的时候呢？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车转过来迎着你的时候，我的心岂没有去呢？这岂是接受银子，接受衣裳、橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊、仆婢的时候呢？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车回头迎接你的时候，我的心不也在那里吗？现在岂是接受人家银子、衣服、橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊和仆婢的时候？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车转身迎着你的时候，我的心不是和你同去吗？现在不是收受银子、衣服、橄榄园、葡萄园、羊、牛、仆人和婢女的时候。

以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉回迎你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是受銀子、衣裳、買橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？

以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉過來迎着你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是接受銀子，接受衣裳、橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？

以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉過來迎着你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是接受銀子，接受衣裳、橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？

以利沙對他說：「那人下車回頭迎接你的時候，我的心不也在那裡嗎？現在豈是接受人家銀子、衣服、橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊和僕婢的時候？

以利沙對他說：“那人下車轉身迎著你的時候，我的心不是和你同去嗎？現在不是收受銀子、衣服、橄欖園、葡萄園、羊、牛、僕人和婢女的時候。

以利沙對他說：『那人下車轉身來迎着你的時候，我的心不是和你一同去麼？這時候哪裏是接受銀子、接受衣服、橄欖園、葡萄園、羊、牛、奴僕、婢女、的時候呢？

曰、其人下車、轉而迓爾時、我心豈不偕往乎、是時豈可受銀與衣、以購橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊僕婢乎、

曰彼下車迓爾之時、我心非與爾同在乎。此時豈可受人所饋、或金、或衣、以售橄欖圃、葡萄園、牛羊僕婢乎。

曰、彼下車轉而迎爾時、我心豈不偕爾往乎、此時豈可受銀與衣、以購油果園、葡萄園、牛、羊、僕婢乎、

But Elisha said to him,“ Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes— or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves?

But Elisha said to him,“ Didn’t my spirit go with you? I know that the man got down from his chariot to greet you. Is this the time for you to accept money or clothes? Is it the time to take olive groves, vineyards, flocks or herds? Is it the time to accept male and female slaves?

But he said to him,“ Did not my heart go when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money and garments, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male servants and female servants?

But Elisha asked him,“ Don’t you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to receive money and clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and cattle, and male and female servants?

“ And my heart didn’t go when the man got down from his chariot to meet you,” Elisha said.“ Is this a time to accept silver and clothing, olive orchards and vineyards, flocks and herds, and male and female slaves?

Then he said to him,“ Did my heart not go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to accept money and to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, oxen, and male and female slaves?

Then he said to him,“ Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is it time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants?

And he said unto him, Went not my heart with thee, when the man turned from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards and vineyards, and sheep and oxen, and men- servants and maid- servants?

But Elisha questioned him,“ Wasn’t my spirit there when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to accept money and clothes, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, and male and female slaves?

And he said unto him, Went not mine heart[ with thee], when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee?[ Is it] a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

He said to him,“ Didn’t my heart go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive groves and vineyards, and sheep and cattle, and male servants and female servants?

For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your morale and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

For even though I am absent physically, I am present in spirit. And I have already judged the one who did this, just as though I were present.

If we sowed spiritual blessings among you, is it too much to reap material things from you?If others receive this right from you, are we not more deserving? But we have not made use of this right. Instead we endure everything so that we may not be a hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

The LORD abhors a person who lies, but those who deal truthfully are his delight.

By all these things, I have shown you that by working in this way we must help the weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said,‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

The one who tells the truth will endure forever, but the one who lies will last only for a moment.

But the king will rejoice in God; everyone who takes oaths in his name will boast, for the mouths of those who speak lies will be shut up.

that I will take nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal. That way you can never say,‘ It is I who made Abram rich.’

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

But Elisha replied,“ As certainly as the LORD lives( whom I serve), I will take nothing from you.” Naaman insisted that he take it, but he refused.

For everything there is an appointed time, and an appropriate time for every activity on earth:A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted;A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;A time to search, and a time to give something up as lost; a time to keep, and a time to throw away;A time to rip, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak.A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

One of his advisers said,“ No, my master, O king. The prophet Elisha who lives in Israel keeps telling the king of Israel the things you say in your bedroom.”

I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so that I could serve you!When I was with you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia fully supplied my needs. I kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so.As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia.Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!And what I am doing I will continue to do, so that I may eliminate any opportunity for those who want a chance to be regarded as our equals in the things they boast about.

I have desired no one’s silver or gold or clothing.

Peter then told her,“ Why have you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out!”

and we did not eat anyone’s food without paying. Instead, in toil and drudgery we worked night and day in order not to burden any of you.It was not because we do not have that right, but to give ourselves as an example for you to imitate.
